Arrived at El Prat de Llobregat airport late afternoon and took the Aerobus into the Place de Catalunya. 5 minute walk to the Calderon and time for a quick shower before popping out to the Ciutat de Mondal, a very highly rated local tapas restaurant. Jamon Iberico, queso Manchego, pan con tomatoe, Pollo y Jamon croquettas, Almejas and Gambas roja a la plancha all washed down with ice cold Estrella Damm. Absolutely the right way to end a great day. Chillin' tomorrow before heading out to Montmelo on Saturday for qualifying. It's been a while since we were in Barcelona but it's like putting on a cardigan and your favourite slippers, comfortable and at home straight away. Andy

Took my bike to the second place for changing the front wheel bearings, only to be told for the second time that there is no little gap in the spindle to help get the bearings out. Another friday afternoon special or raid of the old parts bin
I used some prying tools from Aldi, like these. You can really wedge them in. Also use some heat from a heat gun.
Not sure any of my bikes have ever had a notch for removing bearings. Thats why they make specials tools to remove them, isn't it?
Not if the spindle is wedged tight against the bearings. Nothing will get in between them, thats why there is a little gap to get a tool in to pry it out. Imhave a faulty spindle without the notch, means getting the bearings out cut cutting. Thanks Ducati,
Had a day pottering about catching up on some jobs and tinkering with the bikes in the garage before having a leisurely ride up to Holmfirth... Mrs M's Maiden voyage over 20 miles on the monster and she rode great! Her riding is all starting to come together and confidence is growing slowly Checked in to a lovely Guest House and wandered down in to the town for a couple of pints and a cracking indian This is what life is all about!
