I had an unfortunate accident due to brake failure and ihas been 4 weeks and I am still waing for my bike to be repaired. Everything went to Italy and now I am still witing for my ride. I am a patient person but I do have my limit specially that I commute with it.
Hi gun, I was riding in the hills close to my house, Was rding hard but the bike is built for that, 1299s, later as I was actually quitting I was coming to an small s curve and as I tried reducing speed, well it did not happen. Wen off in the field unfortunately there were some mounds and I went over and the bike over me. Injuries were minor in view of what happened. Bruises and cracked ribs. The cyclinder of the front brake gave up, come to find out from Ducati that the membrane was damaged. Now I am sitting here having to borrow my wifes car and hearing I will hape to be patient a bit longer. I am quite understanding but it is wearing thin.
These are my thoughts too, I would be going back to your dealership and explaining to them that after 4 weeks it is no longer acceptable that you are having to borrow your wife's car and impact on her life so you can complete your daily commute to & from work. I'm sure the dealership will be compensated by Ducati for any costs they incur for providing you with a loan bike whilst they have your bike for analysis and repair...
Whats new?? well my bike is still at the dealer. I called and asked for a bike and suggested that Ducati should take care of it and his answer was that Ducati does not usually take care of that and that they have to ask. I got a mail from Ducati customer service in Germany and it basically says that the parts are in Italy and that we have to wait, according to service, either Ducati Germany nor the dealer can do anything, I just have to wait and there is no need to contact them. May patience is at the end now, I really am getting, no I am &%$§&%
I'm not a Facebook user however, polite yet negative feedback and comments on their Facebook page often prompts swifter resolution of problems.. At the very least I'd hope for the issue to be escalated and a clear plan of action be established. I've unfortunately had to do this (using the wife account) it has got results quiet quickly. Always keep comments professional Just my humble opinion..
Germany and Italy are only separated by Switzerland or Austria, only a few hours to cross either... :/
Imho, it's worth setting up a twitter account just for this. Keep it simple and tweet: Disappointing that @'x' have had my new Ducati for x weeks to be fixed. Even more disappointing, no courtesy bike.
Calling them names like incompetent and useless. Use coded language like disappointing. Imho, much more effective.
Be factual, use the data you have, Like @Old rider says don't name call, keep your opinions to yourself. When posting on FB and Twitter remember the entire world will see it, this is the power behind social media
