Another little tip Fire, stand further forward towards the front of the tank. That way your throwing your leg over the lower front seat not the rear one. Same as you though, the lowest seat position on my old RT bent my knees to much, so now I have it on the highest setting
Just be careful of camber, as when you pull on the bar intuitively when mounting it can literally pull the bike on you....
Exactly what I was thinking as I read that, turning the bars to make the bike lean more is the exact opposite of what I want when you have all your weight on the n/s foot peg. As I mentioned, my problem is a little different being handicapped.
I lowered the front end of my Mutley by 1 cm the other day and what a massive help it has made for me getting on/off the bike and I just love the way it turns into the corners now. Fantastic.
If you've a physical disability then fair enough, I can't comment on that. You'd have your weight on the OS footpeg though, and have brake control etc. Naturally any kind of disability might make that wildly inappropriate. Also, I think that a little awareness of things like camber, lightness of touch, good observation was assumed. If you just yank on the bars blindly then yes, you'll probably have a whoopsie. With a big bike you need to be mindful of where you stop / park etc. I guess. On a slightly less pejorative note than the midget earlier... Inspiring short bloke on a big bike! Also, if you are a short arse and want something fast... that isn't a Harley or a Triumph
Hah hah, must admit that stylistically the Diavel isn't my favourite Ducati but they apparently go well, and the Strada version looks a lot less assless-chaps... (picture taken up at Willingham Woods on a Wednesday, these are the "fast lads"... )
