1200 DVT Top Speed

  1. Well, not quite....

Was lucky enough to get access to a nice runway tonight, and 147 in 6th just into orange revs with screen on high and tucked behind. So probably more like 135.

Love to know how anyone would get 160 plus ;)

  2. My sat-nav has confirmed 154 (on a closed road) & I'm sure it didn't hit the limiter as I mentioned this too you about 'clearing sat-nav data' if you ever get pulled over. So the police won't confiscate your GPS unit as evidence; if speeding is the offence!

ps: Garmins; touch 'speed' icon & then select all fields & clear!

  3. Yours is obviously the slower colour one :)

  4. On my old 2010 I got 155 indicated. 145 indicated with a pillion and full luggage too. Both obviously closed roads. Felt fine and relatively stable at those speeds too.

  5. It felt incredibly stable, and may have sustained 130+ for a reasonable period.

  6. Must be that. Ducati should have made yellow: dread to think how slow the red ones are ;)

  8. Couple '000 revs left ;)

  9. @Wayne58 mine was in top...no way 4th would have pulled 140 on the clock never mind mind on gps

  10. The 143 in 4th was indicated speedo, the 150 plus was 5th and 6th nav, sounds like you possibly have an issue bradders?

  11. PS, I don't think 6th is the fastest, bang it down a gear or two :)

After @GunZenBomZ said that about Max nav, I'll have a look at my Garmin in morning and let you know whats what

  12. On the DVT 6th is quicker, I'm pretty sure, it's not like the older model where 6th was an overdrive.

  13. I'm not sure either about 6th? I saw 4th @143 indicated then kinda stopped looking in 5th and 6th, till I caught a glance of nav at 15something. It was quite heavy crosswinds at colt, so just being as accurate as I can, but like I said bradders, you're more than welcome to have a blast :upyeah:

  14. Pps, you changed for bigger rear or smaller front sprocket?

  15. Yeah 42 rear but I'd expect to only lose 10mph or so top end

  16. ?? I'm not sure on that either but if you up the rear teeth you will lose a certain mph, be it 10 or whatever . One question, does it really matter??

  17. Only if it's a problem. Gearing commander suggests flat out 160 std and 152 with 42t on s 2010 multi at 9250 which is pushing towards the limiter

  18. Don't concern yourself with it mate if you're happy with the bike. It's only you that knows you've got a dud Friday afternoon one :grinning:

  19. It keeps up ok :)
