What is it with Ducati owners having a spare GSXR kicking about? They should come free with the expensive models like bike covers and paddock stands.
had a nice ride to work on a 959 under blue lights on Monday for ride to work day (it's ride to work week this week) under an initiative to raise promote safety and awareness of motorcyclists and motorcycling as a way to commute.. many thanks to cambs constabulary for organising (1 of only 4 police forces to do so). having waited 4 weeks since the bike was delivered to the dealer I received a call to say my bike is a lemon and that a replacement would be found.. still i get to enjoy the 959 for a bit longer
WAT A DAY!!!! I kid you not.....received a vehicle today for an interior DEEP clean....the vehicle was in a police compound, been involved in an attempted murder....my job remove as much blood as I can from the interior....6 hours later vehicle now looking like nothing happened!!!....so people if you have a attempted murder scene you need cleaning just call CSI Lewis!!! .....I can remove all evidence!!! lol
Quieter day today, after the track skills day at Thruxton yesterday, the front Rosso II on Carole's Diavel was shagged so wheel out and off to Micheldever which coincidentally I was going to anyway as my Metzeler Raceteck rains for Silverstone were in. Whilst I was there, one of those visiting tuck shop vans turned up and it transpires that they do an amazing chicken Balti pie, yum yum . Back home to refit the front wheel after a quick check over the calipers and pads and job done. I know it's a school night but I'm out for a beer later. Andy
Washed all the suicidal insects of my bike and leathers. Jacket and front fairing were like something from an entomologists nightmare. I hit some big bastard bugs that fucking hurt. Still, not as much as it hurt them of course.
I finished filling my 60 litre barrel with cherries. It's always a slog. Pondering whether I do it all again with the morello cherries... I may do. Fingers still very swollen and in plastic cast things, but I have been to the pool a couple of times, thank god. It's pool weather, is it not? Bike sits sadly in garage but it would be mightily warm for leathers. My garden is looking rather fab. Time for another G&T in it.
I'm doing a Ron Haslam day at Donington tomorrow with two friends, so I've just sorted all my gear out. We all dropped massive hints to our other halfs before Xmas and strangely enough they all listened and bought us a package for our Xmas present.
