Well its more comfortable than the standard one......The main advantage is the extra 20mm of height for us lanky buggers!!!!
You get that extra 20mm on the DP one too. Shame this thread started after I went to France on 14th, otherwise I'd have bought it. But I needed a seat before and Craig at MotoRapido sent one on the 12th and delivered on 13th! Nice. Is it comfy? Well, its comfier and its okay for 2-3hrs in saddle. However a full day and your perineum takes a battering. Im not lanky but then again, I will ride anything. Seat height is never an issue for me.
There are two different DP seats for a Pani. A comfort and a race. Both a similar height but the comfort one is softer so sinks when sat on
I have an do comfort seat off my 899 for sale if anyone who's at silverstone on Thursday is interested, just enough room in my rucksack to bring along to try out, only 1 Allen bolt I think..
I'm looking for a replacement seat for my 1299... The extra hight from either the DP race or comfort seat is appealing! @SimonT is yours the comfort one or the race one?
Mine is the comfort seat. Or it might be the race one - I'm confused now. Its the thicker one and doesn't have the stitching so on reflection its probably the race one...

I've got a comfort seat now, but haven't tried it yet. If I don't get on with it over the weekend I'll be in touch as it sounds like you've got the race one. Thanks
