Renewed the insurance and third party insurance on the Hypermotard today ... Saw a Scrambler Cafe Racer at the dealer while sorting out the insurance. Need to work on the boss...
Taken wheels off twelvey ready to fit new tyres from FWR £290 a set. eek. Fitted throttle mod. Turns out kit was supplied with a try-wing bit after all. So I needn't have bought a 32 piece set with a multitude of bits after all. Daft twat. That'll teach me for doing it without my reading glasses on and after having a wee smoke.
Had some meetings in Sheffield this morning, back in the office this afternoon but left at 3.30 to go to #1 sons in Manchester to see the grandchildren. Could be one of the last times before they move to Scotland for some inexplicable reason
162.4 mile round trip, taking in country B roads and the Antrim coastal road, 96 miles of which were in pouring rain. The Monster handled brilliantly, the Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres performed extremely well on the wet greasy roads, and the new Shoei GT Air helmet, with Pinlock, was outstanding, very comfortable, quiet and didn't mist up at all. Unfortunately my Dainese D-Dry Jacket & Gloves, my rain trousers and my Ducati Corse City boots, didn't do so well, I was soaked through, , but it was still a great ride and I still had a huge grin on my face when I returned home.
was listening to a radio interview with Sir Bobby Charlton today, who was asked how he thought the England team of '66 would have fared against Iceland. " I think we'd have won 1-0 " he replied. "Only 1-0?" Retorted the reporter. "Yes," said Bobby. "Well, most of us are in our 70's now"
Have done the Antrim Coast road trip twice, the first time I was so impressed with the twisty roads and azure blue sea I convinced a couple more of my friends to join us on our second trip. Big mistake! Rained solid for three days and three nights.
Shown the wife some video of me dicing with 1299's and explained to her why i need another (not different) faster bike, the reply was "well, looks like you need to make a bit more of an effort, excuses are easy." WTF!!!
How much do 1199R's go for.....? She did agree if I sell the current 3 i can buy a faster one. I don't agree to that. Seriously! How can a base T9 cope with a 1299! (must try harder ) Shut it @bootsam on your Pani-bastard-gali!
Still be amazed on a daily basis at the willy waving, self-promoting and generally 'I'm f*cking awesome, better than you lot' that occurs on here daily. While eating a sandwich having spent over 3 hrs working on building a plan in excel because Project is off-piste
