1200 DVT Is It Fine - Termignoni Full System

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ducati7, Jul 1, 2017.

  1. Hey guys, I just got installed a termignoni full system on my DVT 1200S 2016, whenever I rev it up to 6-7k it farts a lot, is it normal??

Secondly, my bike turns off in traffic when temperature reaches 105+, is it normal too?? :bucktooth:

    Thanks
    Amit

  2. You need to get the ECU updated by a dealer which comes with the full-termi system. And the engine fan should kick in at 100 °C so check that it is working. Somewhere in the manual it states the engine will protect itself from extreme temperatures but not sure it would be 105'

  3. If the ECU has been updated every time you turn the bike on it'll state 'Racing' on the screen.

  4. Thanks for replies, No nothing comes up when I fire the engine up...they did updated, as far as I can recall but they had some error, they told me it is fine, but I doubt....have to check the fan thing too...

  5. Can someone (with DVT 1200S and full system termi) confirm, does "Racing" flash up on display once you fire the engine up...

    Thanks

  6. There's some arguments as to whether the DVT can be remapped or not , Geoff that i know says he can remap all multistradas on his Dyno , this is a far better option if it can be done to having a generic map put on your ECU .
If they said they've had an error installing the map the least you should be doing is getting a second opinion from another dealer as to whether everything is ok or not , you never know you may get better customer service

  7. Problem is...other Ducati dealership is as far as 1000 miles...thanks for your input..

  8. What do you mean by 'farts'?

    Does it continue to rev?

  9. Maybe do a video and upload it.

  10. There is an upload map that comes w the full system and yes it should say racing in the dash upon startup

  11. Sure...sharing a video soon...

  12. And is the decat pipes on the bike? You won't have a big box like shown below & instead have straight pipes like the one (ceramic coated) in black.

They have not updated the ECU, take the dongle with you & politely say you know its not been flashed for racing/the full termi-exhaust system. Considering the cost of the full-termi system they should of explained the 'error'.

  13. Offcourse buddy, decat has been removed, I am sure they never did installed the system completely...Appreciate your help.

  14. Just remember you are the customer, politely ring them & explain you've noticed that compared to a guy you met with the same bike (little white lie) that your bike isn't showing the racing logo. And having discussed this it means that the engine isn't in sync with the exhaust system.

Or tell them friends online having chatted about peculiar behavior you've noticed suspect its due to the ECU not been upgraded to 'racing' spec.

  15. Perfect...going to call them first thing in the morning.

GunZenBomZ buddy, you really go out of the way to help, much appreciate.

  16. It is spitting unburned fuel and thats why its popping when you shut the throttle. Quite common on after market systems IME

Does it rev cleanly and smoothly straight thru fro say 4k to the rev limiter?

  17. No, it doesn't ! And the fan should cut in at 103 degrees.
Here's my ecu print out showing the version you should be running.
Ps, I ran mine with the full system for the first 6 months with no upmap and it did pop bang and spit flames like yours does.
Then again, it pops n bangs now so who knows ?

  18. I have the full race Termi system. It came with an upmap key. I have nothing showing on the dash to say RACE.
