I started my motorcycle odyssey aged 13/14 with one of these, bought for £8 as a "field bike" and used on the hills and canal footpaths around Summit in Littleborough - our Jack Russell used to ride on the tank http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-C11...232659?hash=item2129902293:g:ZUYAAOSwFJBZVmw6
Seems cheap but hard to know a value. Think a lot of those parts would be kicking round the garage for a while if break the bike. Probably put on road again for £1k to £1.5k but what's a cat c/d 749s worth? £2.5k depending on mileage? Probably to lacking in power for a track bike.
Would still want it a bit cheaper as a lot of ifs and buts (headstock) but it does say make an offer.
Does this 748R in Cornwall, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-748R-/263066047564?hash=item3d3ff5544c:g:8mwAAOSw6YtZV5As, belong to someone on here ? Andy
RD350N1 just gone up for sale on the RDLC Crazy Forum " Never thought I'd do this, but I'm going to sell my N1 I bought about 7-8 months ago. I bought it because I'd always wanted an N1, the thread when I bought it and said I'd never sell it will still be on here. But, despite it being a blinding bike, I just don't get the same enjoyment out of riding it as my other bikes. I went over to Muttsnuts yesterday on my LC, a round trip of 200 miles, and loved every second of riding it. Then I went out this morning on my old 1936 Rudge and loved every second of it. Got home, pulled the N1 out and went for a ride, but despite thinking it was such a well put together bike (and despite reminding myself that I'd always wanted one) I just didn't get the same feeling as the others. No particular reason I can put my finger on, but it's more of a head down arse up position than my other bikes and it's faster, so as I get older I'm less attracted to that sort of bike. It's faster than my LC and handles better, but I still prefer the LC, so while I was out riding it literally 10 minutes ago I decided to put it up for sale. I took it for an MOT on Friday and it passed without any advisories, the MOT bloke's exact words were "It's like a new bike, absolutely nothing wrong with it". It's not like a new bike, but it is tidy for a 32yr old bike, it's had restoration work done over the years and I have a stack of history and receipts, I'd say it's VGC but it's not concourse though. The insurance is due to be renewed at the end of the month, so the time to sell is now. It's a UK bike, matching numbers, HPI clear, etc. 26k miles. Comes with the black Allspeeds and I also have standard pipes for it and a spare seat (look at the original advert on here, I didn't like the seat it came with). That's about it, I can't fault it really. With the pipes and seat it owes me about £4,300. I really can't be bothered with all the haggling and messing about, so the price is £4,000 firm, I think that's reasonable and should hopefully result in a hassle free sale, I really don't want to have to venture onto ebay with it. Based in Lancaster.
