I have Dainese two piece and the quality is superb but surprisingly for something that comes from such a warm country, the venting is poor IMHO.
Ive got the same leathers as ET. I think we're both in agreement about them....heavy set of leathers, but very well armoured. Once youve got them on you dont feel the weight of them. Ive had mine a few years now, i dont wear them that often but theyve got gradually more comfortable over the years. The last trip to the TT it rained on the way home which was a bit of a blessing in disguise as they stretched a little. My only complaint with mine was that they felt a bit short for me and im not tall (dont think ET would have that problem being from the shire ). I had to take the top shoulder armour out but, now theyve stretched i can probably put it back in and stretch them a little more.
I'd love made to measure BKS. I currently run Dainese, but I always get them adjusted by Chris at 9lives. Ive not had an off on them yet. Apart from being knocked over at some lights at 1mph. But I had 3 big offs on my old Furygan set and they were superb. I'd have bought another set if I hadnt fallen for the Dainese VR46 jacket coz I is a poseur. But I agree, Kushi or BKS if I could afford it, Furygan or Dainese otherwise. But I dont think you can go much wrong with any good quality made to measure.
You have to remember Wayney, Im slim, got my own hair and still look fantastic. Thus I can get away with looking cool as fuck. Its tough being me, but somehow I manage it.

Dainese all the way. Trickster kangaroo for sport. D-Explorer for touring. Tech Pro Gore Tex for skiing. Their attention to detail is superb. Old story, you get what you pay for.
Mine were great for dealing with a wasps nest in the loft, so I'm sure they'll be fine in a crash. Neck tube sock thing was the only weak point but hey didn't spot that.
I took a 100 mph highside in my Dianese D-Air back in March first time out in them (!) and they worked well enough that I went out and bought a second set to cover whilst they went back to Italy for recharge. The supposed ten days recharge (not guaranteed but I was led to believe it would be the case) took a month and a mate has had the same experience so I was glad I bought a second set. A month before I took a 120mph highside in my Spidi suit which was a hand me down and has taken several other pretty heavy falls and been repaired. It was excellent quality and I would definitely buy one if it wasn't for the fact that I now swear by the D-Air suits. This is the SPIDI suit: The two crashes were exactly the same and I felt a big difference in head whip lash having the D Air system even though I didn't actually feel it deploy. I remember consciously thinking how cushioned my head was from bending sideways as I hit the floor! I was able to panic rebuild the bike and get out racing again that afternoon. If I was to get a non-airbag suit I'd seriously consider the Spidi as the quality seems a bit higher than Dianese if you are not spending crazy amounts of money for the D Air. A good suit should be able to take multiple crashes and still do the job and I reckon the Spidi might be better at that than the Dianese or Alpine stars which seem to be a bit too fragile in their lower price models. Also as mentioned in the article posted earlier, avoid second hand low end Dianese as it's only recently they moved away from selling as a 'fashion item' and started doing the triple stitching etc needed to pass safety regs. One thing that Dianese are head and shoulders above everything else I have tried other than the Spidi is in comfort and fit. I also bought an expensive pair of Dianese gloves as I got irritated by constantly having to replace Alpinestar GP Pro that I normally use and they were wrecked from the single crash and cost half their original price to get repaired even though they had not taken much punishment. I'm going to try another set of Racer GP gloves as those did me well a few years back but maybe it just isn't possible to find gloves that last through crashes?

Evo 1 has the better specification, especially the armour/padding. Is it worth the extra £250 ? Probably. Andy
