Looks so far from a top of the range bike to me, much more like a home made effort with those awful wheels.
They only have so many engines so it is will be heavily discounted if they don't sell - they might paint them in Matrix Green to get rid of them
So it is officially an R - but it isn't really an R (The R must be £10K of the price so a good marketing move)
I like the anniversario scheme better. Thats pretty. I think it'd look better with black or gold wheels myself. Don't like those wheelbarrow exhausts. I might even get my 1299S wrapped anniversario as its such a pretty scheme.
Gold wheels have been done to death. I like the red wheels, I liked them on the 848 also. Would look crap on a red bike, but work well with the this scheme IMO.
Like it myself The initial pictures looked pony but the ones dave posted I think it looks decent Wouldn't pay the money for it though
THIS !.....Still the best looking Pani' to hit the Tarmac IMHO. All the special paint schemes look a little too shouty for a road bike for me, but track bike paint is each to their own of course. As far as the exhaust goes, not trying to defend Ducati here, but don't all you track guys moanthat you struggle to get the 1299 onto a track with anything other than the standard silencers ? perhaps Ducati are trying to be clever here and give punters a Euro 4 road bike with the lightweight engine parts for track benefit but with a sexy looking but noise supressed (cos of the cats) exhaust system......or am I being too smartarse and overthinking it !!
Having said that in my last post, I will add that again IMHO, there ain't no more sexier zorst than the full EVO Akra under slung belly system, even with the heat and silly money
If anybody wants one, I've cancelled mine so pm me for details if interested. Also got plate FE17PAN to go with it. Due for delivery end of next week.
Given I had my 1299 painted when the 1299 first launched I’m claiming mine was a source of inspiration
