  3. And 1198 bottom ends and gearboxes fail just the same...but let's not hijack another for sale thread: nice looking bike sure someone will enjoy it :)

  4. how comes yours has black frame and wheels, did you get them painted?

  5. I think that is a year later version. They did similar with the 1198.

  6. Later model (worth less :) )

  7. 2011 model (although it sat in the dealer for 2 years and is on a '13 plate from when I bought it new)

    IIRC
2008 - 2010 - Gold frame and wheels. @Exige has one of these, but they are worth nowt.
2011 - Black frame and wheels (The most desireable and valuable)
2012 - Red frame, black wheels, titanium bodywork (not many about)

The 848SF had different colour schemes.

  9. Yep, the red frame, black wheels, titanuim bodywork. Made in the last year of the 1098SFS and not many about.

  10. Wonder why they never made a white S?

  11. so the other question is, do i remove all of the aftermarket stuff and put it back to stock?, will it change the value drasticly?, whats it worth standard?
I would keep it if i didnt have the bug to build another one (sorry for the spelling)

  12. You're always better off removing accessories and selling them and the bike seperately if you want to maximise your return. Some of them can be very expensive and you won't add a lot to the value of the bike if you leave them on, you will however still probably get a few quid for them if removed.

  13. I'd switch the can for sure, because that thing on there is horrendous :innocent:

I think when bikes get to this age that add ons will help sell but won't make any more money than standard really. And most tend to increase price because of add ons, then it doesn't sell so leave a few bits on and take the rest off :)

  14. Ok so if someone wants it back to standard I will reduce it by around £800

  15. I'm presuming whoever rides pillion has horrendous piles?
