  2. You would look good in a big merengue job chiz

  3. Went to hossie for check up appointment with podiatrist (lovely girl - but what made her choose looking after old diabetic MENS trotters?).Consultant popped his head round door and asked to take some "after" pics for his records. He said it's healed in record time for a chronic diabetic with very bad circulation in lower legs and feet - was genuinely happy but told me that unfortunately my flip flop modelling career is over! Never mind with my looks I could always try crash helmet modelling?

  4. thank you.. ( I think...) hey, I can wear anything and look good.. It's a curse...

  5. We all have our cross to bear chiz - mine unfortunately was being able to consume more of anything alcoholic than people around me and still be able to run several businesses and seem totally straight and sober? That was until I hit 55 yrs old and the wheels came off spectacularly!

  6. You have somewhere specific you go in Cheddar? Personally I'd trundle 15 mins along the road to Wells-some nice cafes there including one or two on the Market square
And of course the Cathedral ( second oldest clock in Europe dontcha know) and high street etc to wander up and down.

If you get a chance ride up/down Burrington Combe as well-same escarpment as Cheddar, but quieter...

  8. I remember in about 1986/87 when I really started getting hold of some proper paper out of the car job.I had always bought decent clothes but off the peg clobber and I was a big fat lardy guy so they were always fighting to keep me from bursting out! I went upto the smoke and got measured up for a proper tailored suit at Tommy Nutters (He later did all Frank Bruno's,Jonathan Ross's etc suits).I chose the shiny silver mohair cloth that all the glitterati were wearing at the time and had a fluorescent pink silk lining with pink stitching round all the buttonholes - I thought it looked the total dogs bollox? I went to a charity ball with the mrs and wore it - the mrs won 2nd or 3rd prize in the raffle and I stood up and held up the winning ticket to claim my prize and the compère (Jim Davidson) said over the pa "and the lucky winner is the pikey in his dads wedding suit!" Bastard- I never liked him

  12. depends on your route in/out you can go down one and up the other.

Bout oooh .....3 miles part, burrington is north of cheddar, and out of Burrington at the top, good straight road ( B 3134/0 from memory?) over the top of the Mendips past the Castle of Comfort.
