  1. I don't mean to correct you mathematically, but if 100% meet on line, 100% right? Where do these others that like chase come from?

  2. A bit like in the days of horses and carriages, every few miles you dropped off a knackered horse and replaced it with a fresh one :upyeah:

  7. I was thinking of the Nokia 6310i, and it's ability to connect my old PC laptop to the Internet using GPRS, bluetooth and a PCMCIA card... I think that between 9 and 11Kbps was what I used to get. It also did WAP and SMS (and Snake). It was 1150mAh battery or thereabouts. You could also bludgeon a man to death with it, should you wish. :bucktooth:

I loved the 6310! Proper phone and you could throw it at people fit the battery back on and still use it

  9. I've been tempted to get one for nostalgia and just use it. It'd stop people continually What'sApp'ing me too.

  10. Apparently you can get a Motorola 8500 brick called the International that takes a SIM card? Favoured by South American Drug Lords cos of 3 day battery life and great signal

  11. My daughter opened me a Facebook account which I closed 3 days later!I got a "friend request?" From some Nause called Stuart- I replied and wrote " Fuck off! - I didn't like you 30 years ago when I knew you then and that ain't changed? I also remember I put you and your wannabe Para brother on your arses on the same night!" My daughter told me I didn't quite have the hang of it?

  15. Hopefully by the time this all comes into play, the mad scientists will have worked out those graphene super capacitors. Instant charging would mean no queues at the charging points. Plus, I'm hoping the person that cracks the tech, names it a flux capacitor :bucktooth:

Another 40 odd years after that and they'll probably be looking to get them banned from the road altogether.

One good thing I can thing of... road noise would be dramatically cut down. We'll just have tyre noise and even that'll go when hey start making them float :joy:

  17. As always fin, we in Essex, are more than happy to punch above our weight and bail out our cousins particularly north of the border as many Essex Men and Women went to geography courses and realise Scotland is part of the U.K. and will be certainly during our life times

And as much as you go on about Scotlands credentials, would you like to see where the offshore wind farms are, and the majority are NOT in the waters around Scotland but you might notice a few around just one county? Essex, doing our bit in the real world

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_offshore_wind_farms_in_the_United_Kingdom

I believe Scotlands' wind production has dramatically reduced over the last few months having seen Alex Salmond removed from politics and Wee Nic put back in her box. Never mind fin, the People of Essex won't let you down.

And fin, if you ever did go indi and still claim the oil is all yours when the world is starting to go to electric, you will be like a man trying to sell a bacon roll at a vegan convention :upyeah:

  18. Will we be posting threads about giving IC space when we overtake them and showing consideration for those old school road users?

Back in the 60's here in Weeg they got rid of the trams and replaced them with motor driven buses fed from overhead lines, the official name was "Trolley Bus"

The buses were very quiet all that was heard was a low humm and tyre roar

The locals called them "The Whispering Death" as Weegies, well known for jay walking, were stepping off the pavement and WHAM!! they were a Double Decker hood mascot. :scream:

Of course that's probably regarded as a bonus by many on here.
