  3. Just bought my Tricolore with a full Termignoni system and carbon everything. Apart from the ally tank, there's not really too much difference. Nice bike though and the price isn't too bad.

  4. i think the combo of 15% more midrange and snappier sprockets will make quit a difference, helped even more by a engine that will bring those horsen sooner and faster...

being sligthly overweigth, it def will help me! :)

  5. been ringing around all day for insurance what a joke who is insured with who

  6. Just out of interest what kind of figures are "they" quoting for insurance?

  7. Was paying 340 quid for 7 bikes, including a fireblade, SP1, 6rr etc. With my Panigale best I could get for all 8 bikes was 900 quid, but oddly thats for an 18 month policy. Was getting hilarious quotes of several thousands and most companies were unable to quote as they didn't have the Panigale on their systems. Hopefully most will have next year so I expect more competitive quotes. Im with MCE.

  8. only ducati insurance quoting at present £1200 with £1000 excess must have tracker no commuting [ thats with 25% promotional discount only applicable on 1199 ] 9 plus years no claims / no claims /or convictions / brick alarmed garage low risk area .mature rider ????still awaiting mce and carol nash [3 days ]

  9. Is it worth it having to pay that kind of money out every year?

  10. obviously not thats why they have a 25% DISCOUNT promotion on i for one wont be buying one [ for what its worth ducati ins said it was the lowest quote they had done for a 1199r lol

  11. For me, yes. Dont get me wrong its totally overpriced insurance bullshit, but I live for bikes and cant put a price on that. Worth a note is that Ducati insurance were very competitive with MCE, only the 18 month (as opposed to 12) swung it for me.

  12. Fogot to say, I havent got an excess either with MCE. But was given a BSB paddock pass to use next season. Nice.

  13. no. I paid it out once, never again!

  14. how's that work with no claims? 18mth policy to get 1 yr no claims?

  15. What would you pay for a ferrari?! Course its worth it :upyeah:

  16. You would be very surprised... to be fair the panigale is faster than a ferrari, and sadly has a far higher chance of the policy paying out.

  17. And easier to get hold of!

  18. It's all relative to how much money you have I suppose. Personally, I find the 848 more than enough bike for me. I love the look of the Panigale and the 'R' at the show had me dribbling. I'd have to have a lot more money to pay out for one... and then there's the insurance of course!

ET, you could ask the same question about buying a Corse rather than standard model.

  19. Get them to quote you on a Desmo, then ring back and ask for a quote on the Panigale......

It won't seem so bad then after you have recalibrated to "rediculous" prices mentally......

Ducati Insurance still did the best for me. Desmo, Panigale S and 848 all on one policy. London postcode. Commuting on all three. Not pretty financially.....(but necessary)

  20. Got to ask but what cover is that! I have 4 bikes on one (as all new or under 10 years old max number is four) all fully comp, blade 07, 848 08, z1 06, and a WR450 07, then another policy for 2012 TDM and a XJR 99, the first cost me 700 and the others 300 ish again all fully comp? Im 40 years old and must must missing some thing?

I have max no claims and all have an excess, I talked to MCE this year and they could not beat my quote from Nash.
