  10. I was given a Gravestone today...., which given yesterdays terrible news seems macabre on reflection.

    A few months back I had asked a local stonemason if he had any offcuts of granite for me to make some bases for my speaker stands. Anyway I had to deliver something to him today & he said "Oh I've been waiting for you! I've got some Granite for you..." I was expecting a couple of the bits that they cut out of kitchen worktops for the sinks...

    It's a stone that has been replaced because there's no room for any more names on it, so there's nothing dodgy going on.

    It's about 5 inches thick & weighs 1/4 of a ton..... I'm thinking it's going to be a turntable plinth eventually.

    Still got wrapping to do and sorting out my grandmothers things that have been brought up .

  20. Driven down to Newton Abbot for the family Christmas and in the good family tradition I've got a s*it cold and can't taste or smell anything. Just want to sleep until spring!!
