  1. Whats your email addy Chewy ? Someone here has first dibs but if that falls thru you may be in with a chance !

  2. It does Chewy, but I dont know if u can send pics via a pm.....

  3. Nope mate wont go on there!... I have an aversion for a forum where when I attempted to join they send me an email saying that I am "not the right sort of member that they want"...dont know how they came to that conclusion...probably becuase I dont actually have an 851/888 and live in the former communist block..so feck em!

Besides I now have an 851 Frame (with papers) have just bought a set of MR1's and will be turning a 1990 900SS Verlicchi swingarm from a cantilever to a rising rate swing to fit the 888 frame. I have a choice of a couple of 748 engines to go for, and have seen a couple of ST4 crankcases. I also have bought a few magnesium bits and bobs too :)

  4. Thats 'cos it looks like a choccie bar left in front of the fire.... If that bike were my daughter I would convert to Islam so she could wear a viel and not inflict her ugliness on the world... you said Ian that my next project is an ugly puppy... but it was well surpassed by the Multiminger and the SS ie!

  5. I wouldn't let a slug balancing triangle player join the forum either!!!!

  6. Paul (Kenoir) Thanks a million Mate! The maxton sprung shock arrived today, I owe you for postage.

  7. Paul, What the f###k is a slug balancer?

  8. Bloody hell george! It didn't take you long to find the parts ?
    I spent months looking.
I'm surprised they turned you down.. they let me join

  9. Mustache dude!

  10. A visual joke from Blackadder goes forth... I have a 'tache and Fishead has seen a piccy of me on facebook on my wedding day in my Ceremonial uniform...so he has alluded that I am Baldrick who plays a triangle at the opening credits to 'BA goes 4th'

  11. A nice very cheap st2 engine is on it's way to me...
bit of a plan change with Ian's IE motor.

  12. Ha Ha ha brilliant.

  13. So have I  There have been two frames for sale for a while, an original 851 where the coolant went through the frame, in Oz, brand spankers but no paperwork and one in Germany, which has the bent front tubes where they meet the headsock as opposed to welded ones....this has paperwork so I contacted the guy in Germany and knocked him down on the price by 100 euros. Missed out on a set of 851 MR1's a couple of weeks ago, but have seen a set from a Paso tonight and snaffled them as they are very few and far between. I was going to fit a bog standard Aluminium 888 swing but the Verlicchi was for sale, the original bike had a similar verlicchi... I know a jolly good Alu welder so a conversion is in order methinks!

The tank will be a problem... I will have to either get an alu one made up or use a standard tank with a Carbon cover over it to resemble the mahoosive Endurance tank that I want. The seat is similar to that on my F1 rep and the bodywork can be made up from three different fairings... TT2 top F1 middle and 851 bottom. will have to cut and 'weld' together with Glass fibre or carbon but not unfeasable.

  14. You know your stuff mate, You have been doing alot of research.
Can't wait to follow the project build as imho they are prefection.
Your 900ss mhr is a masterpeice, my old fella (bevel mhr owner) has got a pic of your rep in his workshop.

  15. Oh dont you make me blush! and I feel fairly humbled that a proper MHR owner would like my Bandy MHR wannabe! I do research a lot yes...mainly because I am anal about some things! But beleive me my projects are not perfection, they are quite rough close up... you want pefection? see Arquebus he produces bits that looks like they are professionally made with a machine!

  16. Thanks to many members on the forum i have now got most bits i need (just need to collect them) i working on it Keith but may have to go with postage.

I still need a 1.6m ecu, 2v throttle bodies, side stand, rear wheel spindle (ally swingarm type) front subframe, and a carby fuel tank.

  17. Mr R commented that pablo's st3/ss is also perfection.

That MHR is proper special mate.. full stop! :upyeah:

  18. Steve as much as I dislike congratulating the Fish head...his bike is a far better achievement than mine. Visually theres no importance really as we all have inidvidual tastes when it comes to colour, bikini fairing or full fairing etc. All that I have done with mine is fit a set of forks from a different bike and a swingarm from a different bike. OK I have fabricated lots of little carbon fibre bits here and there but thats peanuts!

Pablo has shoehorned a totally different engine into the frame and then had to accomodate all the plumbing that goes with it.... THAT is an achievement!... pity its yellow though

  19. Howdo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the comments gents! Think there are some very nice SS/SL's out there and one of the best things is very few are similar, we all put our little twist on them (Geo with his Picasso paintwork!!!)
Did the 2valve to death but like a few that have the sickness couldn't let it lie!!!! Get me exhaust next week and then me re-map hell yeh!!! Want Steve's 851 he's got in his garage to do up!!!!

    Pongo did you dyno yours?

    Pablo
