when you think how much strokers have rocketed in value, half a dozen bought twenty years ago would make you rich now....
Called into Ducati Fort Myres when we were over on holiday last week. Owner is the parts guy who loves his two strokes. Gave my lad some stickers and stuff as well so a top bloke.
Mine's a "work in progress", as they'd call it. A plain Jane NSR, not an SP, tho'. Wheels to powdercoat, fairing to paint then register, MOT and up for sale.
Funny how bikes change in appeal, nsr, kr1s, rs aprillia, rgv, rg, rvf, vfr 400, sp1, sp2, ns 400r, rd, dt, you name it, all the above bikes have at one time or another been cheap as chips as everyone jumped on blades, r1's, zxr, gsxr etc etc shell suit paint schemes galore ha ha, just funny watching how it's all gone. I got a mint rvf 400 11,000 miles stacked exhaust looks fab, mad to think I could probably get a nice 848 for the money I possibly could get for the rvf, but you know what the 848's have held up a treat and will rise soon I believe....I remember seeing a brand new rc45 in appleyards keighley in medd racing colours sure it was £8995 was there an age unsold jeez.
Nsr250s are lovely bikes, here are my2x SPs mc28SP HRC and mc21sp Cabin edition. Sadly both sold a couple of months back
Here's my vj22m one year only banana arm rebuilt after a " lying on it's side in a garden for 10 yrs"find!
As the nanny state gets it oar in anything without electronics will go up I reckon... Sticking with my mad-as-a-box-of-frogs pre electronics reflashed v4 factory..!
There a few folk on here that could actually use this as a daily . @El Toro , @bradders and @broke to name a few OK ok ok, I'm definitely getting my coat now....TAXI !!!!
Getting a serious urge for one of these 250 strokers but need to do some research on models and which one is most practical for regular use.
