    One of Santas little helpers appeared on the doorstep yesterday with a bit of wood in his hand :eek: - a nice surprise as I wasn't going to bother - had to root about in the loft for a bit to find some decorations - this time last year I was moving house

  15. Christmas doesn't happen til boxing day, when the cold meat, mash and pickles come out.

    I could give the whole thing a miss to be honest, but with no kids in the family I'm looking forward to a couple of days of excess eating and quality banter with my family. Even the beer gets missed for a couple of days, I might have a couple of spirits but that's about it.

  16. Yes, just got my last reports out to the staff and big cheeses, which means tomorrow can be a bit less fraught and maybe early dart.

    plus, I am very fortunate to have two cracking lads and a loads of nieces n nephews to make it very Christmassy.

  17. I ate a tangerine today - tree up but can't put presents under as the dog will chew - only got Christmas & New Year's Day off - working weekends to

    Maybe when dinners done Tuesday & wine has been consumed i will

    I would love to go away somewhere snowy for new year

    Just re read and makes me sound proper miserable - must try harder to be festive :frown:

  19. Oh, that's christmas right there! Wake up in the morning after trying to stay awake all night only to find that 'Santa' had left a present right at the end of the bed! Do parents still do christmas stockings?
