  2. Another one bragging about how he has no idea what power something has.

What next? " I rode something, don't know what, the other day and I have no idea how well it rode" -ultimate brag.

  3. I can tell you that as rapid as my multi feels, and the last one, and my 1000 fireblade did and some others have, none compare to my k5 1000.

And that is genuine 20hp down on the latest zx10 or panigale. I can't imagine what they are like when you open the taps o_O:astonished::poop::skull:

  4. Psychic powers... :astonished:

  6. It always felt nippy to me (even riding home from buying it) I mention the bhp figure as I think the lowest quoted figure was 126 and as high as 140 (I'm assuming anything in print is based on at the crank figures). All I expect out of my bikes is for them to work optimally, nothing more. The hyper makes 96 but that's what it should be making. I don't expect it to stay with a cream of the crop sports bike but I do expect it to work and deliver what it has correctly. Ive got a reflashed ecu in the rsv4 from a lad over in Finland that tracks his and runs the same setup as me....its never been on the dyno but I know its running as good as it can be.

  7. Exactly what a dyno is for: maximum performance for the purpose it has :upyeah:

Like race teams, it's about mapping for each track and the conditions of the track not about making outright power. Not quite.

  8. Loved mine too, and that bottom end stomp !! Regret selling to this day :(

  9. And that's the rub....cos the r1m doesn't make 200bhp in stock form....

  10. Do you feel robbed now :astonished::joy::joy:

  11. Nah....far from it. I'm just happy mine goes as well as it goes. Nothing more.

  12. I've only ever had one bike dyno'd and it was by mss kawasaki when they used to be at chelmsford before they got into mainstay racing.

It was a carbie blackbird that at the wheel put out around 135bhp and then after a stage 1 dynojet kit, K&N filter, and a full akro then set up by them on the rolling road in the end it gave me at the wheel around 152 bhp I seem to recall, I do remember the back tyre having a blow out at 190 on the dyno that shook a few of us up.

Some say the carbie has a flat spot around 3,500 revs but I've tended to find after a certain age people just stop paying or cut back on keeping the carbs balanced and clean every couple of years

It did afterwards, drink like a fish, was a little bit crisper but beyond that I have to say the entire spend wasn't worth it for me even more so as most of my riding was below 85mph

I know bikers like to tinker and spend money on bling and bits but what that taught me was a better spend is on a good service and the rest in petrol and riding.

  14. Absolutely, I only spent that much (ahem as well as custom paint) as I genuinely thought this was going to be my forever bike

Wimmin gets shoes, we get toys

  15. Loved mine too and wished I had kept it.

  16. Bloody hell, wasn't HX55 was it? Looks like my old bike except the pipe?

  17.:mask:If it wasn't for the fact that gixer equals crash your brains out, I'd have another 1000 as a road and track bike. The 750 I have will be repaired and probably sold along with the triumph (yes it's still in the garage....!) and give me enough for V4 tuono or similar ;)

    Upright riding plus power. :upyeah::astonished::mask:

  18. Lol,no it was WV05 I think
