I reckon there will be a Streetfighter and maybe a Multi. Cant see a Hyper working with a big V4 though. Be interesting to see if it has cylinder on demand technology as used by Audi.
Funny you should ask this, as I asked the Ducati dealer that exact question yesterday. He said it would only be the superbike "for the foreseeable future, and it would be many years before anything else gets the V4, if at all"
Yeah, spoke about that yesterday too. He said the 1260 multi would have a mild refresh looks wise, and is not a giant leap forward if you already have a DVT.
@Wayne58 from personal experience any dealer for anything, Dealers and sales people are the last to know what is going on with in their product, many often will not search, or read forums and news, gossip etc. I remember talking to dealers re first Audi RS3, and Audi UK who denied all knowledge, stated under no circumstances was there to be an RS 3 or even on the horizon, even in planning, or design, will never be one, and 3 days later they released that exact model. I get it they are not allowed to say, or not even told, but why blatantly lie about it.
No chance of a V4 in a hypermotard, that would be so far from what a Supermoto is that it would make no sense at all. Even a twin is not really a supermoto as the whole point of them is that they are lightweight hooligan bikes but they never really sell since real Supermotos are too impractical for most.
All I can think of is the price of any finished product V4. Standard 1299 is 18k can't see a standard V4 superbike being less than 20k thats mental money
With enough time and money, anything is possible... If someone can put a 1199R engine in a Grom, I'm sure a 1198 engine in a hyper won't be that much of a stretch...
