Ducati Optimate

  1. yeah I know its just a Ducati badge but twice as expensive.
    anyway when I took delivery of my new Ducati in 2015 it had a Genuine Ducati battery tender supplied with the leads on the battery etc...
    anyway the red power light on the business end no longer lights up and Im unsure if the optimate itself has packed up or just the bulb? any how I can do a test without any fancy kit e.g.: can I see anything in the dash menu etc ???

  3. I have used that battery maintainer for several years and it is not unusual for it to hibernate attached to a fully charged battery. Andy

  7. ok its Fooked then how odd as my Optimate from Halfords has been good for years n years....Ducati electrics again?

  8. You may just have a blown bulb. As someone said get it checked on a multimeter first.

  9. They are usually an LED and almost unheard of to stop working (almost)

  12. But LED's do stop working. I should know I've got some to replace on my decking :/

  13. Ah, that'll probably be the unit in some way shape or form. An individual LED is extremely reliable. I did say almost unheard of anyway El Tornado. :innocent:
