  8. A few of my friends who work in the oil and gas industry have turned contractors in the past couple of years. They definitely don't work any harder than when they were staff, in fact they prolly work less. However when it comes to invoicing I've never seen them work as hard to try and justify any time they can. It's fucking hilarious :D

  16. Last night I was out for a few drinks with some friends and had a few too many beers and then topped it off with some shots - not a good idea.

    Knowing full well I was at least slightly over the limit, I did something I’ve never done before – I took a taxi home.

    Sure enough, I passed a police roadblock, but because it was a taxi, they waved it past.

    I arrived home safely without incident, which was a real surprise. I have never driven a taxi before and I'm fucked if I know where I got it.

  17. Yesterday actually... Started packing up all our belongings to move to our new house. A tiresome and tedious process but at long last it means getting out of rented accommodation into our own house! Downside is the weather is appalling. At the moment it is lashing down outside and it seems set to stay that way for the next couple of days. So it goes...

  18. Off to CJS in a min to watch my zed getting caned on the dyno. Exhaust and airbox set up has drastically changed since it was last dyno'd so it makes sense to get it re-done.....
