Well today's sightseeing excursions have been a waste of time Plan was to see the caves at Castellana Grotte first off then going to Locorotunda this afternoon. Firstly it took 40 mins to get to Castellana because of the traffic, and it's about 10 miles from where we are staying. Then it was a ten minute walk from the car park to get in line for the booking office to get tickets to go on the cave tour. Doesn't sound too bad so far other than its about 40C and stinking hot. Then we get in line to get tickets. Two hours later we are still nowhere near the ticket booth, and we've been in the sun sweating our nads off! We gave up as I reckon that'd take another two hours to get to the front of the queue. So next stop was Locorotunda to see a "charming" (tourist board speak) old town with lots of narrow streets and stone sculptures peculiar to the area. Another 30 mins by car to get there (14k away from Castellana). Drove around Locorotunda for about 30 mins looking for a parking spot. Not a frigging chance! The place was rammed from the centre to the outskirts. Not a spot to be found, at least not for a normal sized car. So we are now back at our apartment sunning ourselves in the garden (it's 35C here). Tomorrow we head home. Hopefully SWMBO won't chuck everywhere this time
No change to final output so chris tells me. Although stuff to note.... Air/Fuel mixture was way out apparently so thats been corrected. Redline has been increased from 10.900rpm to 11.400rpm as he said that when he got to 10.9 it was still making power so he increased it. Ive not the dyno graph yet (he just emails it when he does) but ill put it up when i get it. So, there is no real difference between a twin set of pipes and a single exit system....also drilling the airbox give no extra power (ie getting more air in there) but while it could be deemed that its running a pressurized airbox the airbox intake does not face the outside world, like say for example my rsv4. But, it makes it sound a bit deeper which i like, coupled with the akra tail pipe which is by far the best sounding pipe ive had on there.. Id say from changing the pipe airbox setup ive effectively moved the power around....ill see what its like later on when i go get it...
This was nice....i was chatting to this lad a few weeks back...new style termis.... Apparently they cover the seat lock though so if you want to get the seat of youve gotta take the end cans (or at least one of them) off...
We're all waiting for the "DB is back to normal" celebration party, gonna be a major event. Rock on DB! ☺️
Alas when I have a Project Board lack that needs to be built from scratch today, that won't make a lot of difference as the first 2 hrs were strategic thinking time lol
Put my late father's welding googles on ebay - apparently currently popular with 'steam punks' whatever they are???
I could do with a pair of goggles to go with a pudding basin helmet I have, as it happens. But they have to fit over the top of specs, so those welding goggles will not do. Nor will Mk VIIIs.
Yesterday I had a five month review of my brain-op' (MRI scan) & the tumor hasn't regrown. I've now another six months before I can effectively apply/dispute the DVLA & my surgeon's decision to rescind my lorry license for 1>5years. It just now depends upon my slow recovery & regaining full balance.
Got the zed back from the dyno after a remap. Fuel/air mix was right out...still making power at the redline so the redline was moved and ride the home was "quick"! To say the least. Throttle response is much more accurate. Sounds a bit different, crispier, much more responsive in 3rd 4th and 5th. On the whole very pleased.
My daughter said to me tonight "Can my boyfriend stay over tomorrow?" "Can he fuck" "Like a rabbit" (wasn't the response I wanted.....)
