For Sale 2014 Panigale 1199s 9500 Miles

  1. Putting up a pre advert which I'll update properly later. My 1199S in my photos is due to go back to finance at the end of August so it's up for sale until then. It's been used as intended on track so not a super shiny, one elderly owner sort of bike but it is a potential very good deal for someone who is looking for a good road bike to also use on track.

The week I got it we went to Southern Italy and dyno'd it on the way back through France and it got a very respectable 183bhp. It has never broke down or given my any problems other than the quick shifter playing up which was replaced during the insurance work a couple of years back detailed below.

It's had a low side into the gravel at Rockingham about two and a half years back and got gravel rash on the swingarm, it was minor in terms of damage with just a damaged fairing panel and gravel rash on one Termi and the swingarm. Apart from a missing sticker the swing arm gravel rash is now only visible if you look very closely. I have a nearly new set of Termis and a nearly new set of standard pipes which can be negotiated on in the sale. I replaced the damaged panel and converted it to track fairings soon after and the stock bodywork has been in a box for two years. I also have protective film unfitted for the panels and tail (cost ~£130?). The nose piece protective film has been fitted but it's not a great job so whilst I'd probably leave it on, a new owner may want to remove it.
It's also had an insurance claim due to a crash I had into a car but luckily my leg saved the bike from any major damage! The only real damage was to a panel but it had a bunch of things replaced under the insurance due to very slight scratches; rad and shock being the main parts that bumped the claim up to about £10k to make it like a brand new bike again.I have full documentation and pictures for both of the above, including a video of the low side!! It's been used since then for one year without any problems or crashes and has been in the garage for another year since I got my 1199R.

The front forks have been resealed with fresh oil by Paul at PGPerformance (ex Snell) and it has not been used since then. Paul put an extra ~0.5cm oil in the forks to prevent bottoming out which is common with Panigales super strong brakes.

It should look as awesome as any other 2nd hand 1199S Panigale once back in it's road clothes.

I have a set of Ducati Performance track fairings painted Ducati red as well as a bunch of spare stock panels from ebay.

It comes with frame sliders and front and rear spindle protectors. It's currently got a brand new set of Supercorsas although I might go for a trip down to Cornwall next month once I have it back in road trim for a bit of goodbye bonding in which case they would have about 500 miles on them :)

Bought new from Snell Performance. General work such as suspension and tyre/pad changes I do myself but they do the services and also did the insurance work. If you mention me they will give you an honest view on the bike and it's history. (last time they saw it was looking dirty after three days in Spain so do please come and see it in person if you are interested!). I'm also happy for the bike to go back to them for a check up once it's back in road trim.

These are the track fairings that it currently has. The spray job is a cheap one using genuine Ducati red paint. It's not the greatest job so they are not really great for looking good on the road but I leave them on as I have used the bike mostly for track days and it takes a while to change bodywork.

  2. Good luck with the sale David. I'm in the process of prepping my 1299S and it'll be back up for sale. Picking up a new bike on Wednesday :):):):)

  3. I'm in Italy so haven't been able to sort it yet but I'm thinking half way between the finance final payment and the going rate for a Pani of this many miles?

  5. Yep with love :)

  6. Are you at Imola? Go and say 'Hi' to my friend Neil on the Lucky Strike Gixer!

  7. I will, I remember seeing the bike actually :)

  8. My wife had a couple of claims on her old Yaris, pcp, no problem when it went back.

Write off would make the debt due I'd imagine.

  9. Tbf reading it he didn't suggest it was. I think it would be sporting for you to delete the comment so as to not mislead :)

  10. Done I didn't know you could have such a sizeable claim in those circumstances (will delete this too in a mo if you guys delete the references all is good) - perhaps add that fact?

  11. Please excuse me if it's wrong and I change later but I think the final payment is around £10500, and going rate for a decent S is £13500 so tbc £ 12000. Feel free to comment but try not to spam my thread too much. Don't let the pictures put you off as all the stock stuff is very clean and she looks very good back in road clothing. I just wanted to be as honest as possible.

  12. Hi, I've been away so no new pictures as I havn't had a chance to put it back in it's road clothes but I have a settlement figure of ~£10600 so it's for sale at £12000 if anyone is looking for a good value 1199S. At that price I will throw in the track fairings and any other parts I have that I will not be using on the R. I also only realised now that the bike has not even been used for nearly 12mths since getting my 1199R this time last year so it's really only had two years of use and the front forks have been resealed with fresh oil after the last time out as one side was leaking slightly (probably from Cadwell wheelie pictures!).
I have a couple of weeks before I need to inform the finance company it is being returned so be quick if you are interested. Ideally it would go to someone who wants to keep it in track fairings so I dont have to worry about changing it all over!

This is the last time the bike was used at Silverstone on 15Aug last year. The camera bike is @Sam1199S and I am in front.
