While the BSB Cadwell was in full throttle (only 30 mins away from my house) i chose stay at home and tackling de panelling the multi for the first time (a learning curve) Maybe i shudder took photos of where some of the bolts did or didnt go... How many bolts per panel compare that to a sports bike...
Having done the same to a couple of Multistradads, you've taken off 1 or two more panels than required
At some point after buying the bike i looking around it more closer and notice a n/s front panel out of line plus the garage who i use for service and repairs also notice when i took it round to show them what i purchase... Anyways this what i discovered..
Be thankful its not like the new one where you have to take the whole tank cover off...what a PITA that is with the overflow tubes
Just looked at pic of my 2014, exactly the same both sides, same panels, and I bought it new....see pic
Doesn't look like that simple job is going well so far Nathan. Sounds like it may be an issue with the plastics on mutleys though after the comment above... Hope you get it sorted easily enough though mate
Well i was fitting a Garmin Mount & Power supply... and connecting it to the battery just i did to my sportsbike.... Then you mention this... is this in the manual thought that was a for the dvt only.... there not much information for the older model... And dont get me started on search engines on any forums...
Having done the same to a couple of Multistradads, you've taken off 1 or two more panels than required lower black panel on the left side. You should find a small connector that is taped up (unless previous owner has fiddled with it). This is a switched feed and can be used for powering accessories. Plenty of info on it on here.
Finished, with only wire needing terminal ends on which i took some from my friends garage today... ready for the Scottish Ducati Club weekend coming
Well i just went in like a bull in a china shop... i unbolted the tank to locate the power cable and accessories cables... Doesnt help loosing rubber pungs n washer under the tank then having to unplug cables n other panels to retrieve them.... All in all at the end i was left with ti tank washers only cause i thought the other one was missing...
Could you post a picture of this satnav cable for future reference and Rob or El Toro could make it a sticky on a seprate post...
So if your wiring it direct to the battery your going to have a permanent live and not a switched live?!
In hiu In your second picture, there's a white small plug about 4 inches above the water hose tie wrapped by the frame that's it, switched connector. Two screws, slide black panel off, it's under there.
Well i'll have to have a look for that (at work till 6am now)... Am sure i didnt see one of those cause i was going to remove the fuse box panel to get better access...
