Depends how well you want it to work. Every bike is different, and simole chip change can only do some much
I know that. The point I was making was that if they are trying to sell him the kit with the DP Ecu, and then saying he needs a remap too, that's balls.
And as discussed before, fitting the DP ecu won't void any remaining warranty on the bike, but I can't see Ducati honouring a bike that has issues after a third party has altered the fuel and ignition maps etc.
As bradders says....I'd be looking for a second hand set, although the new shape don't seem to come up often. Get yr ecu flashed or do yrself....Is the LE map the same as the evo? I think I have an evo ecu for slip ons...Can't remember if it's pre evo or evo though...I can look if yr interested?
I think the map was the same, but the SE ecu has the extra shit on it to control the DTC and QS........I believe.
It might have been in and disabled in all the **98's but I don't believe it was on any 848 ecu till the baby SF an SE machines.
I'm not sure if this helps or not, but I'm sure I read in the Ducati accessories catalogue that the Ducati Performance 848 Corse has a different part number. I am also sure I read somewhere about it having to be different due to the TC and QS on the Corse model. Prices are the same though. Ducati Glasgow and Ducati's UK website both show the cans, ecu and filter at £1300. Nobody seems to do deals on them from what I've seen. I got some sort of discount on the package I've ordered but it's impossible to tell what on and exactly how much...
Motorrapido and Snells have done deals that I've seen from time to time. Think Nelly was offering a great deal on 1 set left a few weeks ago, alhough that may have been a Panigale, cant remember
Is it actually unlocked tho....or just the software written to it from one of the models with it enabled. That's easy enough to do at home with the Ducati writer software. Either way the SE ecu software is different to the Evo ecu out of the box
Already spoke to rich. MR will do him a deal. Cheaper than the price he has and all he has to do is fit it, which isn't hard.
