some very interesting and dubious suggestions keep them coming.. fyi no naked/semi faired stuff and no push cycles or whatever they are called these days wouldnt the 900ss make a right din?
curveball... very interesting! id feel bad having the duke and aprilia share garage space together... i reckon id be kicking myself for not buying jap if on the way home i got stuck?
I had 2 friends with that age of Mille. Neither had any issues (apart from one friend falling off twice in one journey). My uncle left the newer version on the side of the road and called the dealer to come pick it up. Constant electrical issues
had a Honda once it was a toss up between that and a moto guzzi as to which was the most unreliable piece of **** I have ever owned
Not seen one. I know of a silver one 2010 with 2800 miles on for £3k which looks cheap but it doesn't have the punch mark on the frame signifying all recalls have been done.
I vote a 1000cc + as 60 miles is quite a distance and doing it on a smaller bike will be a drag when tired. I never understand why people think less skilled riders should be on 600 bikes as they can be manic as hell and you have to do a lot to make them work whereas a litre bike you just ride all the way home in the same gear! A 2005 or newer GSXR1000 as many have said; my other half commutes every day of the year rain or shine on hers. Reliable and pretty good build quality. Fireblade and Ninja the other obvious suggestions.
agree with Royal, as my 750 gixer (ok with very short gearing) would do my head in if commuting. 1000 all the way. I had a blade which was pretty good, 2004 underseat, would be worth a look. 170MPH if you want it; happy at 40 if you don't.
Were these any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KAWASAKI-ZX636R-/232456583773?hash=item361f7dfa5d:g:KxIAAOSwDehZmeLE
