I used to do quite a lot of track days quite a few years ago and saw the full mix of the too much wedge (Ferrari,Lamborghini,Aston) not enough skill or feel to the neat little men in their Elise's,Honda V tec,VX 220's etc with their mint sparco race suits and boots who were terrified of getting a stone chip!I had a very loud lime greeen scruffy Mk 2 Escort with a twin cam lump, rocket box and a quaffe back end that put out 210bhp -apparently not possible for a normally aspirated 2.0 power unit - but it bloody did!!! I used to terrify the rich and the guys out to impress Lauren from Weybridge. Now that was proper sport

I know I would get properly dusted by 99% of you boys on here on a bike but being smooth and quick in a car isn't something that goes away
No pics but door is fitted to my shed. Tonight will be electrics, roof storage space and finishing off the external cladding. Ontrack to start emptying a large amount of shit we dont use (paint, building/power tools etc etc) out of the garage giving me a bit more space...so as much as id love to be out this weekend on something two wheeled i think im gonna have to press on with diy...
I need to re-home a dog. It's a small terrier, and tends to bark a lot. If you're interested, let me know and I'll jump over next door's fence and get it for you
Impressed myself with my level of composure and self control over the past week or so while instructors have done their best to burn me alive whilst putting me in front of high pressure gas fires and in to alight multi story simulation modules... Not the most pleasant experience and something that I hope I never have to face in an uncontrolled environment... I will be glad to be in the car and driving home on Friday
"This is all your fault" my wife moaned at me this morning. "Feck me what have I done now?" I asked her. "Give me a chance to think," she said, "I've only just woken up".
And if you use Facebook... "Please copy & paste this bollocks to your status if you are constantly being asked to copy & paste some bollocks to your status by friends who copy & paste bollocks to their status. Many people won't copy & paste this bollocks but my true sarcastic friends will copy & paste this utter bollocks.."
Something made me really laugh...funniest thing in ages on Trackday Addicts FB site (and there is often hilarious stuff on there) - fella bought something from anther member and he thought this was appropriate packaging
Just found out my birthday and the wife's and our wedding anniversary all fall on a Saturday this year. That's the highlight of my day. Well, that and the gin, obviously.
This afternoon I went for some physio on my lower back. Feels miles better than it did for the past few days.
Mostly packed the suitcase getting ready for our return flight from Bali to Blighty, have requested a late check out at the hotel, which is nice.
I've been chasing Chinese for my signed contract and a contract deposit. For a nation that claim to be able to do things quickly they seem to pretty slow to me.
Ordinarily I'd agree, but they want the first phase completing and handing over for the 2018 Chinese New Year. That ain't gonna happen unless they pull their finger out as raw materials are presently on 15 weeks delivery and I'm not gonna produce anything without money in the bank.
