3 questions for you .., In your opinion.. What was... 1/ The best band or solo artist ( performance wise) that you have ever seen? 2/ the worst band or solo artist ( performance wise) you've ever seen ? 3/ the band or solo artist you wish you had seen ( maybe never will now) or possibly have yet to see?
1.queen or Michal Jackson on big stage, mumford and son OR REEF on small stages. 2. RUSH only because the sound was terrible. SECC big hall, but sideways rather than length. 3. hmm, red hot chillies
1. Joe Bonamassa or Gary Moore (Just can't decide) 2. The Pogues (Was so legless, he could not sing or speak) 3. Erm, probably Presley ?
Mine.. 1/ Foo fighters acoustic skin and bones set 2/ worst was Desrea .. she was the support act, we needed support after listening to that.. 3/ like to have seen the Eagles..
Reef was my Sons first gig ( he's 30 now so must have been 20 yrs ago ) boy what a voice that lead singer has....
and still has, it was only last year i seen them, or was it the year before?. hmm, you know what they they say " if you can remember then you weren't really there" . a fine bunch of Cornish lads, only the grey tinge to the hair gives you any impression they have aged any. they still jump about like mad yins.
Yes I saw them on the one show last year and looks wise didn't recognise em esp the bass player.. all hair and beards.. they seem to have gone a bit religious too? Superhero was one of our faves...
up until i gave up the bevy i still listened to GLOW and Replenish regularly, normally around spring time. superb albums,
Live Aid at Wembley was a great concert Micheal Jackson at Camp Nou Barcelona was easily the worst of all time. Crying in an oxygen tent on stage... Pathetic. Led Zep would be the only major band I missed and would like to have seen. So I watch the Song Remains The Same once a year!
1. For sheer enjoyment, Yes, Open Your Eyes Tour, 1998. Technically, Peter Hammill uh, 2013 - sounded like the studio performance does, amazing. 2. Todd Rundgren, State Tour, 2013 - dickheads in the crowd ruined it 3. The Tubes, mid-70s vintage. Need a Time Machine. Idiot. The crowd can only break a gig, it's the artist that makes it. : o p If I could ban crowds from gigs I attend, I would (apart from Peter Hammill crowds, they are dead respectful, they are).
I went too the original Joshua tree tour at Wembley.. that's still one of my fave albums of all time .. one tree hill and exit etc superb!
you are absolutely right brw. well mostly right. kind of. sometimes. i went to a jethro tull gig once and i was told to sit down? whats that all about?
Best show Ive seen.....Take That, The Circus at Wembley. Such a lot happening, acrobats, jugglers, clowns, circe de solei things going on everywhere you looked, the 20ft high elephant was amazing and fantastic atmosphere and I dont like the group(nearly called them a band). They did do 1 number playing instruments. Check it out on you tube. Ps ive seen floyd who hendrix rhcp etc.
