  3. All wheel drive - one engine per wheel.

  4. Does this mean we have four wheels as well? isn't that known as........a car?

  5. i see the italian, french mags and MCN are now in full belief that the pic of the chinese/jap melted-plastic-mould-bike-lookalike pictured in the garage is indeed pretty much the end result. :scream:

its too late now to start designing new fairings and postponing the launch ?

  6. Well we all know how much credence you can put into anything MCN says!

  7. true, more or less the bmw publication these days ! : unamused:

but i hope you're right, because if that pic is anything like the end result of the bike, it'll be a farce, because its horrendous imo.

  8. Well when that now infamous leak of the brochure pics of the 1098 by a Ducati employee after a photoshoot ended up on the net, Ducati were forced to quosh any further rumours by releasing a promo video of the bike before the launch at EICMA in 2007. The fact that they have not responded to this image speaks volumes for me. Also security around launches is tighter than a drum and it's highly unlikely the bike would be venturing out with little if any disguising unless this was for a promotional video. Again dubious at this stage but we can at least compare the engine on Thursday with this image showing the clutch casing, to see if there are any similarities.

  9. Just wondering how much wider is going to be the V4 engine as compared to V2?
It seems those rear cylinders are sticking out quite a lot exactly where the knees would be..heat, heat and more heat.
By the way I like Kar Lee's concept drawing :)

  10. reading some comments on the american site A&R, some guy pointed out that the Dainese suit worn by the guy in the pic is the latest version not available to public so would make sense to promo it on the bike (?) Also another made a comment saying ducati have done away with the black / swirly disguises pretty much, hence using what we can see, ( red wonky type fairing ) it blends the bike, more like origami type thing, if that makes sense - while still disguising the final design...

  11. If thats the new V4, they can shove it. Looks like a Honda VFR800 and thats a turgid desultory specimen that denotes the user has given up on sex.

I doubt that is the bike and BMWNews is about as relevant as a sage and onion fart in an aromatherapy waiting room. Useless bunch of lick spittle, sniveling wretches.

  13. Yes I read that too. Ive also seen people saying it's Alessandro Valia in the picture, (he is the official test rider for the factory and features in all the recent promo videos (1199, 1299, 1299SL etc) which would add some credibilty. Time will tell Dubs, but I sincerely hope this isnt the finished article as its pretty ugly and a massive disappointment.

  14. Worth noting when we all saw the Panigale in black with the exposed front cylinder pipe there were so many scathing comments but finished it looks great and I don't think anyone mentioned it again! I think we need to see the bike properly in focus and with the red 'popping' and I think it will look a lot more finished

  15. I think, on the whole Ducati dont make bad design desicions - if anything their brand almost relies on it.....ill rephrase....theyre getting better at it....

  16. According to an ex-Ducati employee on the US forum, this photo WAS taken at Mugello. The rider is Alessandro Valia and the image was captured during preparation for the promo video shoot. If true this is, it now appears, probably genuine, which I still find hard to believe and have to say if so, then I am utterly diappointed in the design.

  17. Likewise, on another Internet forum, Elvis lives, 911,lady Diana and the moon landings are all conspiracies :bucktooth::punch:

  18. I'd tend to agree with you but the poster in question works/worked for Ducati and my understanding is, he still has several connections there, so is better placed than most to authenticate it. Saying that the ONLY real proof is when its unveiled in November and if it's noticeably different to the image being banded about, then he is in for some serious stick!

  19. That the new Harley V4, isn't it, you'd need one of them low fat boy frames ;)

  20. TJ99 on the US forum was the project manager for the Panigale so knows what he's talking about.

The seat looks oddly low on the red bike at Mugello?
