Watched it tonight. Enjoyable, so much so that I may just leave it in iTunes and watch it again sometime.
Rode the 525 supermoto to work. (looked out of the windows this morning to see solid traffic and couldnt face the thought of sitting in it, in the car) so although its supposed to rain today i thought id chance it. Its been away for the last month having the carb rebuilt as it was pissing fuel (and im useless with carbs) - turns out there were a couple of parts worn within it (they gave me them back in a bag) and theres no way i would have known that they were worn. Had the rear shock serviced and rebuilt for a supermoto stance. (lowered and hardened up). It was damp/wet this morning so i couldnt push it and theres a brand new 160 rear on the back so any throttle and it spins up. But - all in all it feels like riding a new bike from a handling (suspension) and an engine (Carb fixed) point of view. Ticks over now correctly and doesnt piss fuel everywhere.
Ya wheelbarrows got a puncture Wantz just done our shed roof with metal poly coated anti drip sheet and clear ones let loads light in
Not when your roof below it is 1" thick wood And you haven't painted my fence yet and people are picking on me about is still
This morning I got the youngest packed off to school for her first day back... Also got the eldest daughter packed off to the Tour of Britain finish line as its her first ever day at work today! Got herself a nice little part time job in a posh coffee trailer that a local lady takes out to events in our area... Then we took root out the front to watch the Tour of Britain come past Mallinson Towers with the other 3 ankle biters and dogs The terrible twins were absolutely gutted that they didn't get their faces on the tv footage though as the helicopter footage was used as they passed our driveway (the rather pink looking one with the grey estate on the drive)
Driven to Biarritz, wine in the fridge cooling n view from the hotel balcony. Nice steady 2 weeks away from work
Been in meetings all day. Can't make my mind up as to whether it's been a good or bad day. It's been a kind of "meh" day.
I remember finding a bar in Biarritz carved from the rocky shoreline with glass sliding doors facing the sea and keeping the sea spray out. We were there over 10 years ago celebrating my wife's then 30th and the locals who were in that afternoon plied us with a local brandy and sang happy birthday to my wife! Happy memories.
well today brought a surprise cloak and dagger visit....... just fitted a very British designed tyre to a one off British designed wheel for a very British car!!..... Tomorrow is the launch of the all new TVR....... OMG!!
Fitted hpk's to the zed....need some spacers between the calipers and the fork mounts so will have to get some stainless ones turned out for them...had space the discs off the wheels a smidge too...
Today is an office day. I have some architects visiting this morning and this afternoon I'll be getting ready for a foray into Wales tomorrow and Friday.
Finally bit the bullet and ordered some brake discs and pads. Ouch! That's the last time I use a disc lock.
I dislike the internet intensely but needs must so off airport parking at Gatwick, hire car at Alicante airport, hire car insurance excess cover and medical/repatriation insurance all now in place for Cartagena. 4 weeks and counting . Andy
Will try and find that if its still here. Been all along the sea front today and watched the surfers, time to head out for the evening and enjoy a Pichet or 2
I've driven to that there Wales. Now sat in some services near Swansea waiting for my client and architects to arrive. Tonight I'm in Newport and tomorrow I'm in Cardiff. Tomorrow night #1 son and family are coming to stay for the first time since they moved to Scotland. I've missed my grandsons.
