Is this the most popular, biggest membership, most frequented Ducati forum in the UK? If so why is it not recognised by Ducati UK, or even Ducati.com given that others with less than a tenth of the attendance/membership are?
If you're talking about DSC or Ducati-upnorth, then the reason is probably that they are officially affiliated with recognised Owners Clubs.
It's down to someone to register it; that's all it would take. However, it does come with strings attached - rules and regulations that have to be adhered to both by the club and it's members.
You should see some of the Italian Owners Club sites. I doubt Emms cupcakes or a bit of effing are going to be a problem. But yes, there are a few strings attached, such as an annual renewal of membership IIRC. There doesn't have to be a membership fee though, as the UKMOC & Scottish Ducati Club, both officially recognised owners clubs, are free.
Minging too...... Sometimes it's really hard to love something so bloody awfull , bit like the r1, still thrashed it tho .....
