It's flaming annoying when you drive for five hours to get to somewhere on time and the person you are meeting lives 15 minutes away and can't get to the meeting on time!!! Grrrrr
working from home today, got to pick my son up from school. The Mrs had a slightly outside the normal range measurement, on a (baby) scan yesterday. She is going back today for another scan and discuss, with consultant. We are hoping the trainee got the measurement wrong, but as they were supervised I didn't tell the Mrs, but I don't think so. The Mrs was very upset. We had to wait to speak to someone. This is a measurement in the brain, that suggests swelling from fluid.. the number could change, it could go down as the baby develops which would mean very low risk of potential issues, stay the same which is not great, or go up... where we would need to make a decision. I do feel a little anxious today, I wasn't yesterday... fingers crossed for a positive outcome. I fear my mrs will really struggle if she has to wait to be scanned regular, and worse if it the situation deteriorates.. I am hoping today when a specialist scans, the number is lower... I know if it's not, it will be a waiting game and she has lots on her plate with work and a pain in the ass husband.
Hope all is ok Similar happened with me I was huge with my first baby They did all the measurements and told me his head was rather big and he may have water on the brain I was carrying lots of water myself It's a worrying time I was scanned regularly till he was born His head turned out to be a different shape to normal birth babies, his head seemed to grow behind him leaving him unable to turn his head when lay down
Just got a text from the Hospital. All OK. The specialist re-scanned, measurement is now well with normal range. He said, they must have measured it wrong yesterday (no comment). Except relieved.
I'm now in my hotel near Newport. After visiting two sites today I'm knackered and hungry. Tomorrow is a visit to Cardiff and then home. Hopefully I won't get snagged in traffic around Birmingham during the afternoon.
I have Or, as most of us call it, a big shed But then most of us call a parts bin special a bitsa, not a prototype LOL
It looks like a shed to me. A great big shed, but still a shed. Put the central heating on tonight for the 1st time since about April.
