Any thoughts on this 1199s?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-11...083206?hash=item4d6280b246:g:XKAAAOSw1LRZqUY3
Probably comes from my bikes in the late 80's where an aftermarket paint scheme was usually a sign that a bike had been down the road.
I have always felt the same with regards to painted bikes too @Robarano... However, this particular one was painted prior to the original owner receiving it and it ever seeing the road. Saw the bike in the flesh yesterday and it was simply outstanding condition and loaded with DP bling too (all original bits supplied boxed up too). Having had a browse of 1199s's currently available, this one is up there price wise (MR have a nice one currently too which looks nice). Anyone fancy offering their thoughts on the pricing taking in to account the extras fitted?
My friends triumph now on the bay of fleas. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-sp...%3A6344bf5e15e0aa4895ce858bffedc28f%7Ciid%3A1

A New Zero Mile 1098S Tricolore - but why have all the extras fitted? v.odd - it doesn't mention if he has the original parts either. I saw one of these recently with zero miles for around £11,000 some where in a obscure foreign land - likely the same one me thinks... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-10...488396?hash=item238bb1008c:g:wI4AAOSwMgdXzpTw
WTF - Base 2003 999 BIP with 17K miles for £7K http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ducati-99...608278?hash=item4d472cec96:g:EbEAAOSwzhVWrNIF
I was very close to pulling the trigger on a 1098 tricolore a couple of years back. Viewed it twice and it was extremely tidy, 3k on the clock, full Ducati service history and up for £6,999... Read a couple of negative recent reviews (at the time) and also read some of the horror stories of 1098 bottom ends self destructing which resulted in me eventually opting for the 1198 I have now. Have seen a few 1098 tricolor's advertised in the mid teens over the past year and thought oh well... I'm still happy with the choice I made though
