Not all Ducati are the epitome or quintessence of the marque. It cannot be all. If you had to show to a friend one photo/image of a Ducati bike, only one, which one would you show?
I agree that the Testarossa was the epitome of the brand. Someone ignorant of cars would recognize a Testarossa before a 250GTO. I also agree about the F40. I rode one in Monza 20 years ago. The owner (an ex F1 driver) let me ride it for a few laps and kept inciting me to put my for down... he then rode it himself, with me in the passenger seat for a few laps. It was scary...
I think that we can start to draw a conclusion by counting the votes. It looks like the epitome and most quintessential Ducati was the 916.
I guess, but it has to be about the racing and Foggy at the time was s golden era for Ducati so a picture of Foggy's bike for sure
I agree! These are 998 & 998R but they will do as representatives of the 916 series. Edit: Image removed. View attachment 97725 Edit: image re inserted.
Apologies. I did not think that it could be seen how you see it and I agree, it could be seen as brash. Should I take the photos off? I'll remove the photo where you can see me, I hope this way I won't offend you.
