Fantastic, loved it. Ok, without Googling it because you'll spoil it, what year did it start? ( Yes, I do know the answer)
I remember my dad pulling into 'The Coronation Garage' (get that for a name) and going nuts that petrol had hit 5 shillings a gallon! Apparently 25p a gallon was ridiculously expensive! This is the bit that shocks me, that's equivalent to 5.5p per Ltr. I had to check it on an AA data sheet and sure enough, that must have been 1964. 5.5p per Ltr! Mind you that was when 5 shillings was 5/-. The car was Vauxhall Cresta he'd bought off his twin brother. Twin tone black and white too. He got rid of it pretty quick.Turned out to be a piece of shit but he didn't stop moaning about for years after.
Used to like a cornet but they always had that funny skin on them I'm sure screwballs didn't have much in the way of dairy product in them either Funny faces was my favourite
Living in a rural area we were shown this fim at school before the Summer holiday's. Thats another thing, school summer holidays of 6 weeks, my nippers had 10 frigging weeks off this year, 10 bloody weeks.
I was about four when someone bought me that record..............but the first album I bought was Disraeli Gears when I was 16.
