  1. PRICE NOW REDUCED TO £7400 TO AVOID FURTHER CONTACT WITH EBAY HALF WITS.

    I've decided to sell my 1098s. I bought it because I'd always wanted a black Ducati (I love the look of the red frame against the black and really like that you don't see many of them about) and also this bike was both FSH and covered in carbon extras including the wheels and lots of other lovely bits, as- frankly- I'm a massive sucker for this stuff. Likewise, the chap I purchased it from was absolutely lovely too, and clearly totally loved his bike, and that always makes me feel confident when I'm buying something a bit special like this.

    The bike is genuinely immaculate, but you'd more than welcome to crawl all over it trying to find something wrong as I did. It's an absolutely lovely thing, but it's not getting used so the money may as well be put to good use elsewhere. Or, more likely knowing me, much worse use.

    So then, it is/ has:

    * 2009 1098s Midnight Black
    * Full Ducati Main Dealer service history (last one was done was the big one including belts and valves, done by JHP 400 miles ago)
    * 10 Months MOT
    * 8864 miles (though showing circa 3297 miles as the dash fogged up (it's a common problem, apparently) at 5567 miles and was replaced under warranty by Ducati, as is documented in the service books and can be verified by the dealer(Riders in Bristol) and the MOT history).
    * Full 70mm Termi system
    * Dymag carbon wheels (cost £2250)
    * Black 1198 swingarm (to match theme/ look of bike)
    * Ducati Performance ECU
    * Ducati Performance Seat
    * Carbon Fairing sides
    * Carbon clock surrounds
    * Carbon air tube covers
    * Carbon seat vents
    * Carbon yoke cover
    * Carbon key surround
    * Carbon exhaust trim
    * Carbon front hugger
    * Carbon rear hugger
    * JHP open clutch cover
    * Red Samco silicon hose kit
    * Black rear sprocket
    * Oberon fork adjusters
    * Oberon clutch master cylinder
    * ASV levers
    * Smoked integrated brake light/ indicator unit
    * Smoked double bubble screen
    * Brand new DID chain
    * R & G tail tidy
    * Personalised plate included in sale.
    * All keys, books, and receipts present.

    If you need anything further, just ask. Just in case you want to see about 80 million more pics, there's a dropbox full of them here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8q6rje8azx2su56/AAC5UHW6jTKVuccOnoWPHcqGa?dl=0

    By the way, for the eagle-eyed among you, the missing fairing fastener has been replaced now. It had- as with all 1098s- removed itself, as part of Ducatis generous scheme to coat the land in quick-turn fixings.

    Thanks for looking,
    N.

  4. Hi,

    Sorry- in all of the editing to try and make the pictures not be wiggly I must have deleted the price. What a penis I am.

    I'm looking for £7600, which is- as always- quite a bit less than I paid. Because, as above, I'm a penis.

  5. Not enough pictures....

    Also:
    - maximum faux pas points for paddock stand and side stand down AND front wheel to left...big no no!
    - I know you live in Norfolk but do you need to make yourself look like John Peel (RIP)????

    Otherwise...very nice.

  6. I'm totally with you. The angles make my teeth all itchy too. I wanted to do some new ones over the weekend but since the bike isn't amphibious I've not been able to.

    I'll update as soon as I can. Promise.

  7. Lovely...if I didn't own my rsv4 I'd have that.

  8. Fine. I'll take the RSV4. Jeez.

  9. You should have taken one out in the rain and stated: never seen rain, what a missed opportunity :rolleyes:

  10. Not sure what to make of that....just commenting on a lovely bike...

  11. Sorry fella. It was just a joke. I was saying I'd take the RSV4 off your hands to solve the "problem". Clearly, it was a rubbish joke. Sorry.

    I had my RSV4 for 7 years. Loved it. They're pretty much perfect.

  12. There's still time.

  13. Heh...no prob...the typed word sometimes doest convey that! :) love those wheels...

  14. I'm super-surprised this hasn't gone yet. It's so nice, and yet all
    I'm getting are asshats and time wasters. Anyone got any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've just dropped the price to £7400 so hopefully that'll help, but I'm amazed that a bike like this is attracting the attention of so many mouth-breathing, brain-cell-sharing, endlessly-breeding imbeciles. Maybe it's the sign I put up?

  15. The asshole contingent of ebay has long been lamented. Ive got a 525 supermoto that im being lent on to sell (but, like you i cant be arsed with the hassle)....the problem is, is you almost have to put it on ebay to filter out the 50 assholes that are watching it to get the one serious, maybe, buyer...

  16. I wonder if someone on here- given the obviously heightened IQ- could do the sums and help me and comfysofa list our lovely lovely things at exactly the right time such as to minimise exposure to dicks? I'd be willing to pay handsomely for the data. Hell, you could even sell it on eBay.

    Lovely bike, I wish you luck with the sale but as you say, what exactly is going on here??

  18. Alas stuff is only worth what people will pay. The bigger the audience, the more likely you’ll find someone to lay out more :)

    eBay has a big audience
