For Sale 998 Bp Anyone?

  1. Not mine, but just had a 998 BP dropped by the workshop this morning for a service etc. before the owner sells.
Really clean, pretty much stock example with 12k on the clocks. Done hardly anything over the last few years, hence it being in the workshop. Looks to be a nice, honest bike.
Owner is looking for £8000-£8500 for it.
PM if interested and I'll pass on any enquiries.

  2. Bloody hell, if prices keep climbing like this my 996 will be worth at least £1500 soon !!!

    Sounds like a good'un mate ....

  3. Prices seem to be all over the place mate. Most seem to be locked away nowadays so when they do come up they fetch good money. Last 998 I saw was early this year, a Bostrum and that had fetched daft money....
They're worth what people will pay I guess. This one is very tidy and pretty much stock/original, so shouldn't hang around long.
Wish I had a few quid lying around ;)

  4. Just out of interest, what did the Bostrom make?

  5. Any idea what sort of money a similar condition/miles 998s would fetch these days?

  6. "Over 13" iirc. Was going to get used as well which is what they're made for

  7. Dunno TBH. Bike sales isn't my thing. The market seems to be strong for good clean bikes though. There's a lot of tat out there which I guess helps strengthen the prices of the good stuff.

  8. Being an owner of a 998s monoposto, I have noticed, as nelly says, prices are a bit hit n miss. But, assuming decent nick and lowish miles, a guess at around £9-10k wouldn't be unreasonable.
I screen grabbed some trader and eBay prices for my insurance, as I value it around the £10k mark, and plenty come and go at that kind of price (although selling price may differ from asking price)

  9. Cheers Neil, I'm guessing that was the one for sale at Fastline, I looked round that one at Stafford last year and it wasn't the most original example but still a nice bike and hopefully the new owner is enjoying it.
