Is your dealer actually any good ?

  1. I e:mailed Ducati UK to ask which dealers had a a Diavel Red in stock.

    They responded next day.

I e:mailed all dealers Ducati UK told me had a Diavel Red in stock with the following results :

(PS : I also asked for a quote for accessories and quoted part numbers).

    The responses were :

Ducati Wolverhampton : An e:mail on bank holiday weekend stating they would respond in full on the next working day.
They did. And quoted me a price for the deal.

In terms of other Franchised Dealers, their responses were :-

Dealer #1 : thanks for your enquiry, if you are ever in the area, please call in.
    Dealer,#2 : No response
    Dealer,#3: No response
I entered into a negotiation with Ducati Wolverhampton and we agreed a deal we were both happy with.

Ducati Wolverhampton have also treated me very well from the after sale perspective.

  2. !
Ducati Aylesbury were excellent, and even though they could not provide me with the bike I wanted, they helped me to find one and congratulated me when I purchased one from another dealer. Good on 'em!

  3. Thanks hippo,

I have never really heard much regarding "wolves", but have always been happy with the work that they have done. The gentleman that services the bikes " Scott" has always been friendly and very willing to chat. He actually sold me on the bike after my first visit there. (hope he got the commission)?

Being as mechanically minded as a worm, it's good to get some feedback on where you are going to spend your hard earned cash.

An ongoing section on "quality of work" and "service" would be really good on this site for both dealers and customers.

  4. They've not had the franchise long, but I'm not overly impressed so far. Asked for a quote for my 15k service and they had to phone Ducati UK to find out. Asked about some accessories, told they weren't available. Down at Snells later that week, Roy had price and lead time for me instantly.

  5. Yep, that's Rich! The guy is a genuine enthusiast, very knowledgable and an all round legend.

The best thing for UK Ducati owners is that there's another bloke in a very similar vein up the M1 in Nelly (Neil) at Cornerspeed. Another genuine enthusiast, very knowledgable and a top bloke.

I've used both of those guys and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Another thumbs up for Mike Dawson (MD Racing) as well, top bloke. Fast too...doing well in the 848 Challenge I see.

  6. I just wish the dealer had a little more understanding of Ducati they still have my bike and still no news really bad service not all dealers are like Reading there parts guy is so rude and unhelpfull
for Parts or Accessories I will always use
JHP or Moto Rapido always seem to have bits and they do care about there customers and keep you updated always
lets see what 2013 brings i hope they can get the bike situation sorted as im still without a bike and still very unhappy

  7. If it's the Ducati / Harley dealer in that city not 10 miles from Bath and also begins with B and very close to WSM, agree about the staff, very superior and also arrogant. One chap over there is nice, he makes the effort.

I use Rich at Louigi Moto. Looks after both my ducati's. As said previously in the thread, he is very knowledgeble.
