Someone just told me a replacement engine is £9000.......scary. Made me think of investing in some engine covers. GB Racing covers seem the obvious choice from a protection point of view. FIM and MCRCB approved and used by the BSB paddock but I m not sure if they look pants and detract from the panigale's stunning looks. I realise there are some carbon engine covers available that do look good but do they offer genuine real world protection ? Looking for some advice and recommendations from other owners
The GB covers look fine, infact you can hardly see the left hand cover as it’s mostly hidden behind the fairing. Carbon ones may look flasher but I doubt they give as much protection.
Go for ether gb or r&g (gb look better) The carbon ones won’t stand up to anything more than a very low speed drop and the ones that don’t actually cover the case will do sweet fuck all!
Regardless if you're engine is 9K, the clutch and generator covers don't cost that much, plus you could crash knacker the cosmetic look of the cases but still be OK.
Keep seeing that design crop up, is it the same bike or a replica of a specific race team alot of people are duplicating ?
Mine is proper paint job on Ducati Performance fairing, done but the very fine guys at Rage Designs. Beautiful quality work. https://www.rage-designs.co.uk/
