Bsb ... Can Shakey Still Do It ??

  1. Overheard him saying at TT how he couldn't stop and chat with someone because "I'll be recognised and mobbed"... Get over yourself mate! Put me off him, and made me wish I'd taken a picture as at the time behind him at the Honda trailer there was a crowd of people taking pictures of Guy Martin's dog. Didn't see the dog breaking out the black glasses and hiding... :joy:

  2. He needs to get over himself.

Shakey on the other hand is a decent down to earth chap.

He waved at my boys on the start line at Oulton Park minutes before the race start when I'm sure he has other things on his mind. He also asked some fans to move aside in the pitwalk to let my little lad through for a photo with his hero.

Genuine decent chap who hasn't fell up his own arse.

John McGuiness is exactly the same. I have alot of time and respect for people like this.

No direct experience of Josh Brookes but he sounds a bit of a tit.

  3. I'm hoping Leon rides smart but it aint over till the chubby lass Squawks

  4. Glen Irwin needs to get in the mix and shake things up a little to assist Shakey

Title number 6 would be something special

  5. Its about time Haslam wins a title.
He seems to have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory too many times in the past.

He is a v good rider as they all are, but I get the impression he has been propped up by daddies money and as he has been on bikes/racing since he could walk, should be v good.

Think hes only won a cb500 cup title. Again, I couldnt even do this so there ya go. :p

  6. Look's like it's Ron's boy's year ...

  7. Let's hope so , must say I'm a little nervous about the last round but I'm sure we can pull it off for Leon

  8. I'd be happy for Shakey or Leon. Leon was normal to me during one of his fathers race schools, despite me being a tad star struck. I shared my lunch table with them both at Donnie. So I have a soft spot for him and hope he wins tbh. Shakey I like too but he has won it loads, so let someone else have a shot. Ive got no time for Josh. Because he is an Aussie and I never want an Aussie to win anything. Only in fun mind. I have nothing personal against Josh or Aussies, but its sport and banter etc. The only Aussie I ever wanted to win anything was Mark Webber.

  9. Good luck to whoever wins it but the old guard must be looking over their shoulders now at the likes of Jake Dixon and Brad Ray who are the future and will probably race for next to nothing !

  10. We were in the garage next to Josh and Brock Parkes at Almeria when they shook down the then new R1M. Pleasant enough at the track and in the Tapas bar but an absolute intolerant arse on track but then when you have got the architypal FE track warriors rating themselves against him, I could understand and for the record he was 14 seconds a lap quicker than the quickest fast group rider, 1'35 vs 1'49. 11. I was the same with Casey and Troy despite being a Ducati fan. Again I have nothing but respect for them, but I still want them to lose. :)
