Happy Christmas to you all  I collected my 3rd set of carbon fairings on Thursday, they have some minor scratches so are perfect for my planned use as my track fairings however I'm a little stumped on what colour scheme to go for. My initial thoughts were to go for bare carbon with a clear liqueur and then maybe a dark grey outline of 'Ducati' where the normal Ducati 749r blah blah' is positioned. I have a spare fuel tank which can be painted black and a full carbon mono seat unit that should finish the overall look off nicely. Failing that I was thinking a scheme like domRusty (hope you don't mind me using your photo attached). Everyone's thoughts, recommendations and suggestions welcome.
I wish I had the money to have track fairings! personally I'd go for the clear lacquer with grey outline option.
i m not too keen on complicated multi color paint scheme's but Dom's is looking good! this said i'd go for the 999R scheme with a white patch on the head letting the carbon black lines as on the tail section shine through.... and keep the belly pan in laquered carbon ... choices, choices !
Agreed, I don't want to too complicated. In terms of the 999R scheme, do you mean standard red with carbon highlights and number boards with some carbon showing through? Like the idea of the belly pan remaining clear.
yep, KISS, the number boards white with the black lines around them separating white form red in shine through carbon... i d also leave the top line of the tail piece in carbon ... the sides in red , carring the white number baords but the 'ridge' in carbon.... that is what i would do if i could lay my hands on a second pair of Carbon fairings... i ve decided not to develop the R any further.... for the moment... grtz Koen
