Bunch of weirdos, I absolutely love my Panigale! There's nothing that comes close apart from perhaps my R6 race bike but that's only really because it's like a cartoon how thrashable it is. I can see why so many people pine after the noise and touchy feels of the older bikes but whilst I'd love to have a few of them when I get some space, I know that none of them will be able to perform on track like the Panigale does.
I've really thought about having a 959 test ride. But to be honest just sitting on it in the showroom is enough to tell me its not the right bike for me. Bars too low pegs and seat too high, stiff painful neck, knees that don't bend as far as they used to, lower back disc issues. If only I was fifty years younger. But I still maintain that, for me, the Panigale is the most beautiful modern motorcycle. They didn't have one in the design museum for nothing. When they stop making them then certain models will become icons with increasing values.
Plenty of TLC lavished on the Pani today. Fairings of and a good clean and coat of ACF to keep her look nice.
I'd have been more embarrassed that my winkle would fit in a standard exhaust hole, now a subaru 3 inch pipe, I'd have had a video of that action
Just reading through this thread.... re the britten , if i could only own one more bike in my life then it would be one of these, a true icon.
