1199 Brake Pads- Wierd?

Here's a selection a old Brembo and EBC pads to fit Panigale and 1x98 bikes, just as in the OP's case, they have the small friction pad on the left, perhaps EBC realised the error of their ways and migrated to the same layout as Brembo, I dunno? I don't have any pads that match Exige's diagram where the large/small friction layers are transposed. You can see the manufacturing date of the EBC HH pads I posted earlier which is 2015.   3. Anyway, here is the final reply from EBC after I questioned them about differences in design:

    You are correct we originally made as per the Ducati style with the segments matching – but it was easier for factory just to make one hand as per the Suzuki sample we got also was made this way we changed to the newest design.
