Previously posted, the only Ducati sold to the public fitted with magnesium alloy wheels was the Desmocedici D16RR. The original 3 spoke wheels included with the 916 are aluminium alloy. The wheels fitted to the bike could be mag alloy but the rear does not look like the Marchesini mag alloy wheel fitted to my 853. Andy
Do you know if you can pay on the door to view or do you have to pre book. Seem to remember I couldn't get in last time. I'd like to see that 450 Desmo.
I'm paying on the door. You have to buy the catalogue for entry. Last time I went about 3 years ago it was £25! (which entered 2 people)
The link is on the Bonhams Home Page but here's a direct link to this auction. See the blue script for the catalogue PDF download just under the front wheel of the main scrolling picture. https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/24131/
My apologies Steve, I should have qualified by saying 916 era and on. My access to historical information only goes back to '94. Andy
It doesn't say Cat C does it? I can't see that it does. Cat C & D can be used on the road after repair and MOT yes.
But pay 6k for an 851 that means it’s really dowsnt need an mot. Just fix and ride or, as some do, just ride as is.
That includes auction premium @15% +vat of the hammer price, so by my (dubious)reckoning it went for just under 6.5k
