Had my 1198 serviced at my local Ducati dealer, which is Italia Moto at Lincoln. Honestly couldnt have been more helpful and friendly! This is my first experience of ducati service and it looks like I am blessed with a great dealer. He printed out the first service sheet and all the parts orders that the previous owner had bought as I didnt get these when I bought the bike. Sorted me out with a load of chassis torque settings for things like fork pinch bolts and caliper bolts, the sort of stuff you need for minor maintenance and wheel removal. Nice showroom with good range of bikes both new and second hand and the clothing/parts, also free tea/coffee/chocolate/cappacino!!. There is also a viewing area for the workshop and he answered all of my stupid questions about Ducati ownership. I was in there for a couple of hours while the service was done and very pleased with them. Unfortunately he was doing a deal on the DDA so I ended up buying that aswell so will be looking forward to seeing how crap my riding is when I get to Cadwell and Donington!! Overall I cant recommend them enough!!
I've been a customers of theirs for the last 3 years having bought a couple of bikes from them. From day one I was made to feel part of the Ducati family and I can not recommend them enough GREAT BUNCH OF LADS!
Yup fully agree - been a happy customer of Phil's and Italia for, heck, 20 years now! Had ducatis and mvs from them in the past and would trust them with anything. The best thing about Italia is that they offer everything a big experienced mainline deler can offer but with the personal touch of a family run business. Top lads!
Sadly my experiences differ markedly, hence me buying my Multi from SMC and having Neil at cornerspeed look after it despite me living 7 miles from Lincoln.........
so its not just me then, only ever visited shop once, found parts prices cheaper at local independant than what Lincoln dealer was quoting
i had a fantastic experance with Italia moto in lincoln all the lads there are very helpfull and know alot about the bike new and old . When Jon sold me my streetfighter i was amazed how well he treated me making sure i had a cup of tea in my hand . Accessories was handled well too by Terry (even tho he managed to talk me into buying more than i had planned but couldnt say no to the bargains. Had the bike now for almost 2 years and still over the moon on the service from those lads , Workshop is amazing and they really know there stuff Top dealership if you ask me and well worth the visit
top guys top dearler i have bought bikes of them now for 15 years from 916,748,749, 999 and trust every thing they say ,good with price and parts and treat you like part of the family also when i crash my new 749s with in 3 days of picking up from them they were at my house picking the bike up and peices of the floor and with me coming out of hosipital and recovery time my bike was like new again that was back in 04 BIG THANKS TO PHIL AND IS TEAM:wink:
They'll no doubt be getting my business when I finally bite the bullet on my next ducati. spoke with Jon today, he's a decent bloke and with a bit of luck ill be handing him a sizeable chunk of cash in the next month or so. good lads
i tried to do a deal with them but didn't like the way Jon treated the deal as a joke, also found SMC at Sheffield a waste of time, took my deposit kept avoiding me for a month then said the bike is on finance and the owner can't pay the negative equity off! Very unprofessional.
Yup, thev've done a few jobs for me and I've always found the service top notch. Terry upstairs always up for a chat and a knowledgable bloke..... and always cuts me a deal when I pick something from his Aladins cave, oooh carbon....
