Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by cookster, Oct 19, 2017.

  1. If you had £3000 to spend on your bike what would you do and why??

  2. Blue print and super finish gearbox! ;)

  3. Start with suspension, replace the original with ohlins and get it set up etc and see what's left after that, nice set of lighweight wheels wouldn't go a miss too

  4. Two lightweight front wheels

  7. Most modern bikes have more performance than we can use so before looking at improving engine output, as already suggested, I'd look at making the bike handle so you can use the power you have. Improving suspension either by upgrading and/or setup and reducing unsprung weight will see the bike improve measureably. Something as simple as a good service can improve the performance of your current forks and shock without a huge outlay, springs for your weight and a professional set up is still a lot less than a grand. Lightweight wheels are always a good up grade but don't forget your brakes. Having the confidence to brake later and harder is where you can gain a lot of time. Andy

  10. He still hasn't answered the question has he kids?

Seems to be catching around here :mask:

  11. If suspension sotred, I'd say wheels (for a grand used) and spend the rest on track tuition. Not CSS but Crafar or spike edwards

  16. Carbon BST wheels, however I've chased up HPS three-times & if they can't be arsed as the uk supplier to at least send a message. Give me feed back that Blackstonetek don't see a current viable need to produce a set for the multi-strada enduro (even though I know they do 19 & 17 rims)...what can I do.

  17. I gotta say I've never been over the moon with them either unfortunately and I've needed to deal with for a while now

  18. Hpk disks, steering damper, pro suspension set up and full termi, all the rest is spot on

  19. Just decided to do another bikeHPS message about Giles not getting back to me,...one of the big bosses who's constantly on holiday & never returns calls.

It's actually the last modification I want/wanted to do too my bike & I'm totally done with it.

ps: Fuck it, just contacted BST direct in joburg. Let's see how things progress on both fronts.

  20. Not being funny but would HPK discs and a full termi be a good use that money? I doubt there'd be enough left for the rest of the stuff in your list?
