In which case buy the 483 power valve thingy that was advertised on the eBay thread....100+ hp in what looks like a mito
I found an old performance bike mag which has got an old k2 1000 tuned up in it, for half the price of then the current k9 1000 ,it was a lot faster.
Trading it and sticking the 3K on top might not be a bad idea, I saw this and thought it would make for some fast track fun: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2012-BMW-...D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
Only on an optimistic dyno with ti and carbon everywhere Mind you, the whole gixer series if lardy...
the old gsxr's still go well, bet i wouldnt be much faster on a new one round a track, held my own at donny last month on mine.
I agreed with your post but I gotta say, those lates RRs are quick and seem to hold a line just fine, I reckon you would definitely be quicker on one, the 'base' R model too. I was at a Suzuki day recently, Giuntoli and a bunch of others tasty riders were there, from where I was sitting (on my Ducati build) there was nothing wrong with the handling or speed of the latest Suzuki bikes and I reckon they'd give a ZX10 or S1000RR a good run at the very least, eat a standard R1 from what I can see. They may well have adjusted the settings to suit proper track work but the bikes looked like standard equipment.
Quite a few are having blipper issues I read on track, with the throttle blipping when it shouldn't be and causing run ons But watching the recent endurance at Portimao (think it was) then Spa, nothing wrong with the super stock gixer in a straight line vs zx10 etc I still have a hankering for a s1000RR tbh if I go back to 1000 sports bikes. Boringly efficient
Bloody hell sounds like a nightmare! Haven't seen any of that going on but it was only one day on track with those new Suzis. Yeah I think at circa 5K you can't go wrong with the BMW RR for a fast track bike
