  3. Manual or pdk?

  4. PDK mate. Manual Gen2's are very rare. Don't think I've ever seen one!

  5. They are rare, but a friend of mine has a gen 2 manual, loads of carbon options, 17k miles on it. I have advised him to keep hold of it !!! :upyeah:

  6. It's a personal thing. I'm in the minority preferring the PDK. If I'd secured a GT3 build slot recently (which I fell waaaay short of btw) I'd spec PDK 100%. I totally get the manual thing but the PDK is far better and technologically advanced piece of kit for a modern car. But there's a lot of dewy eyed nostalgia out there that love the manual. Fair do's, choices eh!

  9. Sadly no, on shift mate

  10. Ha ha, me too. Which is why I have time for the 'bants' Recently did a Vmax (23rd Sept) to see how the old man car would do.... he he... I'm number 550. Never did anything like this before I was just curious. The timesheets were an absolute tonic for my tiny penis :joy:
There were some monster cars there btw.... As you can probably imagine.

  12. Just parked mine up. She is not quick at all! 2.7L engine is sort of rubbish, but sounds, looks and drives well!

If you try to read please take it with a pinch of salt. I never got to see the article before it went to print.
I think they were a little creative and it was 10++ years ago.

I recall, the guy who bought it had a 90's M3. He was a track day enthusiast. On the way to a group "fun" commercial kart event he struggled to keep up with me (or so he said) in his car, via a long-ish drive on some unhindered roads.

Although my 911 was not standard & I was using all of its power (young and dumb) and he might have been a bit more considerate with his car.

Obviously they are not all that compared to modern cars, but for it's age as a classic there's defo worse cars to own.

I've driven a variety of things over the years, a rare (maybe Tickford of similar) Capri 3.1 or 3.2 V6 was not a patch on it. Obviously I'd sooner have a 911 2.7RS, slightly different beast or a more radical 3.0 RSR.

  18. O have been a wheeler dealer specialist in classic Porsche for more than 20 years and I have also been racing them around Europe!
But nowadays the prices have just went crazy!
And to be honest I don’t think they will be “normal again”.
But I have to say that bikes is more fun and surtenly much cheaper= better value/money

  19. A friend bought a 964rs about 10 years ago for £24k. Thats some investment. Has same colour seats as in opening post. Exterior is a similar pinky/purple. I like combo's like this, just a bit different.

  20. I used too love Porsche but some of the new ones are a bit too refined for me like driving a Mercedes thats just my opinion 2.7rs GREAT CAR.

This is my one i sold spent loads of money at Bob Watson Engineering Great Guy.

This guy wanted to buy it with the plate to race it in Australia so i sold it to him Do i regret it ? yes a bit if I'm being HONEST lol.

But i have gone on to those nice red cars now lol.

Some of the TOP END Porsche GT/RS Type cars the ones with the roll cages are Excellent but still prefer the Red Cars.

Here are some pics of my car which i sold a few years ago but i still kept the number plate lol and had it on a few cars.

But now got it on my van keep getting people saying that should be on a 911 TURBO real Sherlock lol
